Both series are high intense comedies with over the top personalities and reactions. Most of the laughs come from the characters interacting with each other in incredibly ridiculous ways, and how they choose to deal with their surroundings. The two are witty and fast paced series with jokse quickly stringing together one after another. Angel Beats mainly plays on how most of the cast can be straight up stupid, as well as the ludicrous ways you can take advantage of immortality. Amagi on the other hand takes it's fairy tale like backdrop and twists it with crude and violent characters. Comedy is prominent in both series but they also contain a certain level of drama. Angel Beats has a heavier drama aspect to the story with all of the characters carrying some kind a trauma, and having to deal with the afterlife. Amagi is lot more lighthearted in this regard as the drama is only mentioned in passing to make way for the comedy. That isn't to say Amagai doesn't/won't build up to something more serious, it's just that the drama pales in comparison to the tear-inducing experience of Angel Beats. Nonetheless, if you're looking for something that can get a good laugh out of you consistently then these are the two shows to watch.

Both series follow an anthology format containing a bunch of short stories following different characters. However, World Gaze Clips' stories tend to span multiple chapters while Nickelodeon's stories end in 8 paged chapters. World Gaze Clips tends to focus on coming of age themes while Nickelodeon covers a far broader range of love, sexuality, religion, and mortality. I find that both series are incredibly charming in the way that at the end of each story I get some kind message as well as a smile stretched across my face. Sometimes the story can make feel a little sad, but it's a good kind of sadness because it means I actually built an attachment for characters I just met. Personally, I feel the two series go well together as World Gaze Clips gives you more fleshed out stories/characters while Nickelodeon gives you a larger number of stories/characters. Both series are styled with a strong sense of surrealism, although it is more subdued in World Gaze Clips while Nickelodeon is more blatant. If you're familiar with Douman Seiman's style of writing at all then you'll immediately recognize Nickelodeon as one of his series. It follows his format of 8 paged sweet/charming stories that usually have some kind of twist or surprise at the last page. Igarashi Ran's style in World Gaze Clips can get pretty angsty at times since most of the characters seem pretty apathetic, but it works because it makes the stories surprisingly relatable. One thing I think that Nickelodeon has over World Gaze Clips is that most, if not all, the stories are interconnected as well as their characters, and it gives a rewarding feeling as a reader. Although I hear that in some later chapters World Gaze Clips does revisit some of its characters. While both series follow a similar format they each give a different flavor of the same thing, and different reading experiences. With that in mind, hopefully you read both!
