I watched this show because of Shera's boobs, and yeah, it's probably worth watching just for that alone. In the end, I ended up really liking Rem, Sylvie, and Klem, they're all very cute lolis that I would probably rank above Shera. Although Rem was very fucking stupid in episode 11, it was really painful to watch and not in a good way.
Not much else to say about this show, it's just a generic ecchi harem isekai with an OP protag that just happens to have really attractive girls. Boring world, boring fight scenes, boring setting, boring powers, etc.
Dunno if I'll watch season 2, depends
...
on how much fanservice it has.

This show starts out with an interesting premise. The government chooses a person's partner when they reach the age of 16.
In the first two episodes, Koi to Uso does a good job of conveying the emotions that come from teenagers living in a world that is quite different from ours, at first glance. The teenagers don't like the fact that their partner will get chosen for them, so they declare that they'll never get married, which is a rather accurate representation of a teenager's feelings before they fall in love; representing their fear and denial of getting married.
The premise is very similar to a
...
modern-day Romeo & Juliet, and like I stated, it does a good job of conveying that "forbidden love" in the first two episodes, but then it falls apart right after and turns into a generic romcom.
If a partner-choosing system like that was to be forced on people in the real world, everyone would lose their shit. It's an oppressive system that manipulates people and "encourages" them to have children just so the birth rate doesn't decline.
And instead of showing that, the series does the complete opposite and tries to imply that this system is almost 100% accurate with its results, and most pairs are happy with their partner. It's very unbelievable as we're barely told anything about this system.
With this system set by the government, this series had a lot of potential in exploring how different this world is compared to ours, how people act differently, live differently, feel differently, deal with certain situations differently. Hell, this premise is even perfect to explore homosexual relationships, but the most this show does is only give implications and it never delves deeper into it, almost like it's too afraid to stray away from its generic romcom direction.
I would go more into this, but this review is long already. Overall, this show isn't really worth watching, but if the premise interests you then try watching it and you might see something that I didn't.

Detective Conan is a timeless series. The manga began in 1994 and the anime adaptation followed 2 years after, and now over 20 years later this series is still ongoing and still gaining popularity outside of Japan.
Even with over 850 episodes, the mangaka, Gosho Aoyama-sensei, still manages to make every case and mystery feel new. Even today, all the tricks are still very innovative and complex.
The best way to watch this series is to binge on it, and seeing the amount of episodes, movies, OVAs, and specials this series has, you'll be watching it for a LONG time.
The best episodes are those that include the
...
Black Organization, or the BO Cases. The normal cases (AKA cases which include a murder not related to the main villains) don't progress the plot, but they're still very fun to watch. The BO cases do progress the plot, answer questions and reveal new mysteries. That's why they're the best and most suspense-filled episodes in the series.
Some people might recommend skipping the normal cases and jumping over to BO cases only, but I wouldn't advise that. As previously stated, even though the normal cases don't progress the plot they're still fun to watch and sometimes they develop the characters and reveal new information about their past.
What I would recommend, however, is skipping the filler episodes. By visiting the website animefillerlist.com you can see which episodes that are Anime Original and aren't from the manga. Now some of these filler episodes are really good, but most of them are just mediocre. As such, I only recommend watching them if you've really got nothing else to watch from the series.
The show is also really good at educating people on science and Japanese culture, it might even teach you a few new Japanese words if you're learning the language.
Overall, the Detective Conan anime is an amazing show with its high and low points. If you're a mystery and anime fan, then I absolutely recommend you check out this series and hopefully you might end up liking it just as I did. My score of 10/10 is biased because this show is part of my life, but I stand by it and truly think this is the best anime series of all time.
