Both shows have humanity struggling to survive on giant moving mega cities as some monster creature attacks. The subject area of how humans arrived on the moving cities differ overall, but both shows also have moments of cute banter between cast members who are from a different places. Gargantia can be classified as a mecha show, but it is no where near Gundam levels of mecha genere. Both shows are great. Also fun mascot characters, Pipe and Chamber for the win!

They share the Shinto imagery of a ritual or a being which must be appeased through a form of sacrifice. Each show has a team of girls who are to be loyal only to their respective jobs. Yuuki Yuuna is a take on the dark magical girl genre, while HisoMaso has a more light hearted take where girls are joined by dragons.

Both shows are shounen ai/yoai that revolves around the main couple being in show business. The shyer character in the main pair initially shows reluctance in being apart of the couple but become overwhelmed by the more dominant character. Both pairs happened to work together in the past and the dominant character developed feelings of love and idolation from their last encounter.

Isekai Maou to Shoukan Shoujo no Dorei Majutsu
|
Besides the standard isekai flare with RPG vibes, what really compares the shows are the main characters in that they are able to act in the world according to the in-game personas they created for themselves. Both characters have inner monologues with how they view the world, or how they are supposed to be acting as the Demon Lord/Overlord and create moments of comedy to break the tension (what little there is to break anyway in How not to Summon a Demon Lord). Both are definitely a fun ride, but have different offerings for the audience.

Fukigen na Mononokean

Besides the similar sounding titles, both are humans/ayakashi who fulfill requests and solve mysteries dealing with spirits, demons, or ayakashi. While FnM has a lighthearted episodic feal with a decent production standard, Mononoke is a take on artistic horror, with compounding visuals, creepy sound, and vibrant colors. Both shows are enjoyable in their own ways, and ultimately the mood you are in will determine which to watch first.

A.I.C.O. Incarnation

Humanity is pressured from a force that lives beyond the walls/dams that protect them so far. In both shows, the force itself is tied to the main girls of the show in some way. Black Bullet definitely has some questionable harem vibes, while A.I.C.O. is more grounded in a sci-fi battle to "stop the evil" vibes. Depending on your mood, will determine which show you would want to watch.

Both shows involve a futuristic society where there are a string of murders committed by a specific person or group. Both stories follow young teenage Onmyouji's who come from societies where onmyou families are important. Personally I enjoyed Tokyo Ravens more than Sousei no Onmyouji, but if you enjoyed one you should be able to find some merit in the other.

Titans/Vampires are my trigger!! That's basically what the main characters say. Both of these shows deal with humanity on the brink of survival in a world where non human beings are trying to kill them. The main characters are all gung ho about killing the other beings, have a special ability that no one else has, are hunted down by multiple people, and have a friend named Mika/Mikasa. Both shows have an organization that the main protagonist joins to fulfill some sort of goal. The Hero Association and the Hunter Association in the two shows remind me of the other. Both have a ranking system which dictates what level of jobs you are likely to be allowed to complete. They involve a rigorous test which has a small passing rate. Also both organizations send out their heroes/hunters to battle and take care of weird creatures that could pose a threat to humanity. Another comparison is that that main characters have a similar altruistic attitude towards helping people. All in all, these are both great shows that I would highly recommend, so if you liked one, you'll enjoy the other.
