It's a fine last hurrah from Toriyama and I think you can tell, especially in the earlier parts of the series he had a big hand in its vibe. I feel if he didn't unfortunately pass away it would have lead to a much more cohesive series but I feel the vision was carried on well enough even if the story falls apart towards the last half of the series.
The action, animation, choreography were all immense to make up for it though but if I'm honest its a bit of a "what could have been" in the end.
If you like Dragonball you'll love this, warts

I loved the original Code Geass and it will always be a very fantastic series but this? Well first off its not "bad". It showed a lot of promise and potential at times to really be something but setting everything up, trying to establish a cast, a villain, a story and resolving all of that set up in 12 episodes was its ultimate downfall though.
Now, If it had the same amount of episodes as the original Code Geass series to properly establish the cast, their stories, their motives and individual story arcs as the plot advances from A to B then no doubt this ...

I feel some of the other reviews say it all too well, but what makes this a masterpiece in my opinion is that it absolutely captivates the sense of time of Fireren the titular main character, and how grand her lifespan is. Entire stories and experiences, entire lifetimes of people she's met are spoken of as if they were a brief scene like depicted in these flashbacks. The series does this brilliantly I feel. It wants us to focus on her journey of where she's going now, why, and who she is now rather than dwell too much in the past but to understand that
