I've rated 10 to many anime that I like along with nichijou.
What makes this work special to me, is Hakase. She is my favourite character in the whole narrative history.
The Shinonome research laboratory looks like a dreamlike environment that humanity might wish to live in. Nano and Sakamoto are awesome characters aswell and they are perfect fitting companions to the most cute and interesting character ever. The way life goes on in the Shinonome Kenkyuujo seems to be a demonstration of how political, economical, ethical and social aspects might evolve in our future. Those 3 characters share goods and services in harmony.

Hakase is a fulfilling ... human being. She enjoys every moment of her life and she is kind to all those around her. She develops both her technical skills and has fun with her hobbies. She resembles a kind of lifestyle that all humans might wish to be able to adopt.
Nano is a super cute and interesting character aswell. She is a display of a peak that technology might reach soon or later. Her behaviour and personality perfectly mixes those of a robot and those of human beings.
Sakamoto is a very cute cat. Just like Nano, he also displays a perfect blend of animal instincts and human-like personality.
While hakase and the Shinonome lab are to my eyes the top interesting side of nichijou all the plots and characters in this work are awesome.
Let's check each aspect of a standard review:

Story 10

Each character has its own plot and scenes in this show. Some characters get more scenes and their stories are displayed in a deeper fashion, while others play smaller roles, but all the plots are well done and interesting.
Some episodes are self-conclusive, some plots go on through many episodes.
Being a slice of life work, the global plot of this anime doesn't really have a beginning nor an end.

Art 10

The art and animation of nichijou is just the perfect one for this kind of work. Its details are so rich that the whole anime looks like an handmade artwork masterpiece.
Its style is peculiar, it is not realistic but it seems to be the perfect choice for a comedy and cuteness focused anime.
Along with ordinary shaped scenes, there are many short intermezzo that help setting a perfect pace.

Sound 10

The voice acting is huge for all the characters. Hakase's voice by Hiromi Konno is the greatest voice acting performance in history, in my humble opinion. Hakase's voice, both in the anime and in the OST is amazing. The cutest voice ever.
The OST has been recorded by live orchestra, and both the background tunes and the character songs mix various instruments and genres. Everything about sound and music perfectly blends with the show.

Characters 10

Hakase is my favourite character and I have already said much about her.
I dream of a spinoff with hakase, nano and sakamoto as the main characters.
All the characters in nichijou behave realistically and their personalities are well-rounded.
No matter how big a role a character plays, each of them is likeable and relatable.

Enjoyment 10

I've been watching nichijou over and over for years and I always enjoy it.
There are so many gems spread all over the 26 episodes, this work is worth a real dedication.
It can move the viewer's feelings in so many different ways.

Overall 10

Just watch nichijou over and over, listen to the ost over and over. And encourage your friends to get to know this masterpiece aswell.
