Skip Beat has a wider universe regarding the plays created in each arc, while Oshi no Ko is stronger in terms of character designs and animations with today's technology. However both of them focus on the challenges faced by the main leads and their breathtaking performances.

These two webtoons have their own cute and heartwrenching moments that will make you think, and change the way you look at things.

I guess this recommendation was never done before because of the differences of the genres. Plots and atmospheres are different but I find the personalities of the main characters(Johan and Tokuchi) similar in so many ways: Both of them are gifted with a brilliant mind and they are scarily smart, most of the time they remain calm even in the worst situations, they have immense understanding of "human emotions". When I first saw how Tokuchi manipulated the other characters in the show, it reminded me of Johan right away. They can see others' soul and read their mind at first glance, both Tokuchi and Johan perfectly predict what people will do and how to control them, because these two have perfect observational, perceptive, far-sighted, calculative and tactical skills. Tokuchi can be described as a "monster" like Johan (but of course, in a good way this time :D). If you like the uniqueness and psychological aspect of one of them, then I think you must definitely see the other one, too!

Same cheerful female lead, same almost perfect two male leads, same never ending love triangle. You can feel that after a while both of them become very unpredictable, if you are satisfied with the way one of them ends, then you will surely like the other one, too.

If you read one of them, then you know it's a 4-koma shoujo-ai manga about a naive and poor girl who has no parents and soon finds a place to work. These two mangas mostly focus on funny short stories of the main characters' daily lives on their workplaces. Both of them are light-hearted, cute and have a relaxing atmosphere. In addition for Poor Poor Lips I must say, there exists a seriously captivating plot with well-developed romance in it(which is something you wouldn't expect to see in a 4-koma manga. It starts especially after the first 20-25 chapters).

If you liked Haruka na Machi e add

...then you might like Orange add

Main characters are given a second chance to change something in their past lives they regret/feel guilty about. Haruka na Machi e has more psychological depth, Orange has more romance in it. If you enjoyed the story of time travel or changing the past in one of them, you'll probably enjoy the other one, too.

...then you might like Hunter x Hunter (2011) add

"Kaidou Arc" in Major reminded me a lot of "Pro-Hunter Exam Arc" in HxH. Two main characters have to team up with other applicants and to pass the qualifying examination they have to trust other members even if they are complete strangers. Both shows have other similarities, but I won't spoil it. Things often get nail bitingly intense each episode, prepare yourselves for unexpected turn of events. If you enjoyed one of them, you can get the same feeling from the other one.

High school setting, lots of delinquent fights and lots of comedy. I found the personalities of Oga and Mitsuhashi way too similar: Dumb yet funny, arrogant, strong, has hilarious evil faces, takes pleasure in tormenting others yet never turns his back on his friends in difficult times. Hence their ties of friendship strengthen as time goes on. The differences: Beelzebub has supernatural elements and has a sweet father-son bonding. Both shows are perfect for a good laugh and once you finish watching them, I think you'll want to give a try for the mangas of both series. :)

If you liked 14-sai no Koi add

...then you might like Horimiya add

To put it simply, the storylines are the same in both mangas. If their artworks were also similar I would have thought they were done by the same mangaka. The way the main couples in both mangas handling their problems reminded me a lot of each other, their troubles often end in a comedic resolve. The differences are 14-sai is a Josei that takes place in junior high setting, while Horimiya is a Shounen that takes place in high school setting. And in 14-sai there is a side couple where the female is older(his teacher) and the male is a delinquent. The teacher's sadistic facial expressions also remind me of Hori's from Horimiya. =) All in all, if you like one of them you will probably enjoy the other, too.

Rather than shoujo, these two give you the feeling of "psychological josei" manga. Female protagonists learn to accept and overcome their faults, they are easily relatable. Past plays a big role and well thought-out backgrounds of the characters make you wonder what's gonna happen next. Within so many hidden messages, they show you how someone can manage to live happily in the merciless society.

If you liked Finder Series add

...then you might like Bi no Kyoujin add

Intense, action-packed and hardcore yaoi manga series about Mafia/Yakuza with beautiful art. Both have non-girly ukes that become loyal to their possessive semes as time passes. There are hints of romance(slow-paced indeed). If you like Bi no Kyoujin, I think you'll also like Finder :)

...then you might like Hana to Rakurai add

Two close friends deal with love and friendship problems. As you can see from the covers their art styles are very unique. Both are very deep stories (In Hana to Rakurai, wait till the second half) and both get surprising turns of events. Also if you got sick of love triangles, both are good choices for you.

...then you might like Yongou x Keibi add

Both ukes meet an older guy who changes their lives. They start to live together and both semes become very protective over their ukes. Somehow they find themselves in a master/pet relationship. You'll really like how both ukes are honest and straight forward. Yongou x Keibi is more light-hearted while Love Mode has lots of drama and has a special kind of feel in it that makes it memorable. If you're into age-gap and possessive lovers both are very recommendable. Side couples are loveable too. P.S. In Love Mode the art gets better over time. Don't just drop it when the first couple introduced. Keep reading, you'll see a lot of improvement.
