I'm not going to defend this one much. I appreciate Rune for TRYING to be good, but it just falls super flat.

Really, if you want to know more about the Rune Angel Troupe you're much better off just learning about the games and the mangas. Rune isn't a good anime, and feels like it just has "Galaxy Angel" in the title for any hope of returning fans supporting it.

The two segments per episode format is gone, the animation outside of the CG Emblem Frames which are arguably pretty cool is very unsavory to look at, stories are uninspired, and it's all just plain boring. ... I myself couldn't finish, but a friend had informed me on what the rest of the anime looks like... and the finale is just a random mecha parody that involves the main character of the original Galaxy Angel anime, Milfeulle.

I really don't got no desire to finish Rune. But the opening theme is ridiculously catchy, and the episode where the original Angel Troupe makes their appearance is pretty good despite them all getting sidetracked with their own issues before they could go to meet their successors (which is arguably the most in-character thing they could have picked for our OGs)

I wouldn't bother watching unless you're desperate to finish everything.

It's impossible to put into words of just how amazing this final season is. Galaxy Angel has an odd phenomenon of where it just gets better as the anime goes. It's a wonderful sendoff to such an amazing anime.

The CVs all do their best and sound like they're having a blast voicing their characters, and I feel that it's very well represented in the final episode. The finale is definitely a twist that I wasn't expecting, and I will refrain from spoiling it entirely since it's something worth experiencing.

The music is fantastic, Angel Rock and Roll is easily the best OP right next to the ... original Galaxy Bang Bang. The OST is miles better than last season and fits each scene perfectly. You can feel that the writers were determined to give GA a proper sendoff, and as such they write some of the best episodes of GA to date: Ordinary Extraordinary Chocolates, Commander Invasion Flavored Spice, Soup That Has Simmered Extra Long, Go Ahead Rice Cooker, Memory-Full Sukiyaki, and just so many more. There is hardly any "okay" episode, because they all range from good to amazing!

Like someone mentioned here, it's highly recommended that you watch the other three seasons before touching S4/X since you jump right in with hardly any introductions like with Z and A.

The comedy is easily the strongest it's ever been. Just about every episode is guaranteed to get a laugh or chuckle out of someone. With the addition of Chitose Karasuma, there's a fresh formula that provides a gateway for so many jokes and when there's a Chitose centric episode they make sure to utilize her insecurities and mixed personalities fully. Sadly Chitose only has about 5/26 (yikes) episodes where she's a main character, she mostly gets the Twin Star Troupe treatment to where she's disregarded until they need a short gag.

But despite that, everyone is in top form in their own way. Milfeulle gets targeted by a hitman but always escapes death, Ranpha is the main character of a romcom bishoujo anime, Vanilla stalks someone and turns them into a fish, Mint almost murders her teammates (and kill herself) because they burnt her precious animal costume collection, Forte destroys an entire planet, flashes her womanly features to everyone because they though she was a man, and she also turns into a spider, lady... thing...? after she swallowed a spider avenging his father after she stepped on him. Those are real sentences I've written.

Galaxy Angel X is pure insanity that must be watched. Please enjoy GA~

I've only fallen in love with Galaxy Angel as a whole within the last year! I totally understand if some people are turned off by the lack of any plot or how cliche some of the characters are, but I think that only adds to the charm of GA!

Starting from this point on, GA's episodes are separated into two different segments each half that last about 11 mins aprox., so the comedy is still very quick and makes use of the limited time they have. Z begins to experiment with absurdist comedy, which will later be GA's modus operandi. This is what I like to ... call the "Experimental period" since there's still a hint of the more light hearted comedy in S1. The only reason this season isn't a 10/10 for me personally is because not every episode hits a home run (Specifically the episode: Deep Fried Egg-rolls of Love), but have trust that you will have a fun time.

The CVs are all also amazing! The best way is to watch the original Japanese version since all five main CVs are outstanding, but the Eng dub isn't horrid by any means and is a valid way to experience GA. The ENG cast have all gotten warmed up to their characters (Forte's ENG actress really is the only one who hasn't fully connected to her character yet) and perform really well together.

The animation is good. The art style definitely had a major shift from S1 to Z because of a swap from hand drawn cels to digital cels, but it still screams early 2000s/90s retro which is always a pleasure to see.

Despite having it's own separate category on this site, there's one special episode that isn't normally grouped with the rest of the season but can probably be seen as a special(?). That episode is Gunsmoke and Tobacco Cassoulet. If you are a big fan of Forte, and enjoyed Downtown Soulfood ODEN (S1E14), and Steel Jambalaya (S2E6 second half), then I can guarantee that this episode will become a favorite. It balances Ranpha and Milfeulle's antics between a rather heavy story about Forte reconnecting with an old acquaintance who's planning on getting revenge against the man who killed his family. Forte is really the only character that ever gets "development" in the form of a story that has a connection to her past (which is quite the colorful one if you piece all four "canon" backstories in the series), so it's safe to say that Forte fans get to eat often.

Definitely keep going! Galaxy Angel really just gets better as it goes, especially if you're a fan of Forte.
