I'm going to be honest. Vampire stories usually aren't my cup of tea, and taking into account that I found this series in my school's library around the same time Twilight was a hit, I was reluctant to read it at first. However, I set aside my hatred for aforementioned books and decided to sign out the first volume. Easy to say, I loved it and eventually read through all of it in a week or two.
Story: 10/10
A vampire with constant nosebleeds injects blood into her victims instead of drinking it. Immediately I knew this wasn't your average vampire story. At first I was in
...
a state of "What? ...No, what?", but after a few minutes of reading, I found myself flipping through pages in seconds, curious to see how this would advance and unfold.
Art: 9/10
It wasn't the best artwork ever, but it was still amazingly done. There are many styles when it comes to anime and manga, and Karin's was one that could not ever, ever dislike. It wasn't cutesy all the time, it didn't overdo any detail, and there was just the right amount of subtle fanservice.
Character: 10/10
Everyone. Was so. Freaking. Quirky. And I loved it. I love stories where everyone has some sort of quirk; that's what makes them so fun to watch and read about. Even the characters who seem 'normal' have something that makes them unique, makes them just that little bit different from everyone else.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I'm almost sorry to say, I enjoyed this a little too much. I remember, when I finally got to the end of volume 14, it was almost midnight, and I just plopped backwards on my bed, finally relieved that I was done. About five seconds later, I felt empty, as if a piece of my soul had died when I'd finished it. It was just that beautiful an ending.

After watching The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, I looked up the studio which produced it, curious to see what else they'd done. Summer Wars seemed interesting enough, so I made a mental note to watch it sometime. However, I eventually forgot about it. One day, I was watching Funimation, and lo and behold, it was on. Barely ten minutes into the movie, and I knew I was watching another TGWLTT.
Story: 10/10
Words cannot describe how much I loved the story. I normally don't like many slice-of-life anime, so I was surprised that I enjoyed this one in particular. Yes, the idea of such an advanced
...
network was a little bit unbelievable, but everything else seemed so much like real life that it surprises me that I still love it.
Art: 9/10
Not much to say here; the art was amazing, and the animation was smooth. It's not the classic, retro feel I usually like, but it was still good.
Sound: 9/10
I expected nothing less from the team behind TGWLTT. Granted, the music isn't as memorable as the music from the previously mentioned anime(coughKawaranaiMonocough), but it's still pretty good ear-candy.
Character: 10/10
I loved everyone in this movie. Everyone had some sort of quirk that made them not only relatable, but humorous and fun.
Enjoyment: 10/10
I can't think of anything else to add, it was just really fun to watch. Relatable characters, great music, and a story that mixes drama, humor, and action together perfectly.

I have a lot of trouble seeing Sonic animations as much good if it doesn't follow the games. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the old 90's cartoons, and X was alright enough as far as the Japanese version goes. The reason I couldn't enjoy many of these for more than a few minutes was it wasn't much like the games at all. That's when I heard about the OVA.
Story: 7/10
I love how it follows the basic Sonic formula: Sonic and his friends fighting Robotnik. However, the inclusion of Metal Sonic was a nice touch to give it a sort of CD-ish feel. I would
...
write more about it, but I'm afraid to give away any spoilers.
Art: 8/10
I loved it, what more is there to say? It was just what I expected an animated Sonic to look like. Not too short or tall, a bit of a pot belly, and just retro in general.
Sound: 8/10
The inclusion of sound effects similar to the ones in DBZ made me laugh, seeing as how much people compare the two series these days. The music was pretty good, although not a masterpiece or anything close. The voices...not the people I'd choose for the job, but, they got the job done, and they weren't as bad as J. Griff...
Character: 6/10
This was where I got a bit ticked off. The characters are all wrong, with the exception of Robotnik and maybe Tails. Sonic came off as a bit of a prick, not wanting to save the Old Man at first, and even when Robotnik pleaded with him to stop 'Metal Robotnik', Sonic almost refused.
Enjoyment: 8/10
Even if the characters weren't very in-sync with their game counterparts, I still thoroughly enjoyed the movie, with all it's action, semi-adult-appropriate humor, and of course, the classic lines that everyone knows. "STRANGE, ISN'T IT?"
