Episode Nagi is 30% origin of the relationship between Nagi & Reo and 70% recap of the matches Nagi played in the 1st season.
The first part of the movie is original and interesting, with Nagi being Nagi. But when the recap hits, it hits hard.
They could just have made a Nagi OVA. I regret watching it on cinema, on full price, because I loved the first season. This is not a movie. It is an OVA + Recap of S1 with some post-credit scenes teasing the 2nd season. It is not even a good entry point for new viewers. Just watch the series.

Coo is a unique, but rather dull, fusion of the summer '93 box office hits, Jurassic Park & Free Willy.
The Good: The animation, it has very good lines, colors and flow. The Bad: The story itself. A child finds a baby dinosaur. Then some army dudes want him. The End, inspired A LOT by Free Willy!!! Should you watch it? I wouldn't suggest it, it is what it is and hasn't aged well, at all. It is an average, at best, animated movie and too long for what it offers, which is almost nothing interesting. Even the characters themselves are not that well written and rather generic. |
