Incredibly fun and god tier anime with a bland but ridiculously overpowered MC

They didn't necessarily ask to be a magical girl, or at least the position they occupy. Instead, they screw around and play with cliches, which makes it hilarious to read. Akogarete is about a magical girl who likes to do BDSM shit with her enemies (or maybe allies, question mark) and Machigatta is about a magical girl who likes to not care about anything and use overcheat(shitty) powers to beat her ennemies in the most simplest and stupidest way possible. So both the type of manga you read when you're exhausted from the usual formula of magical girl or even dark magical girl.

These two gave me the same vibes in the weirdest way possible. Both tell the story of a military like man helping a girl whom society sees as just an object, but who is actually a human being at heart. Even if the context is not the same, the two hurt our hearts with emotions, where we know that everything can fall of and become incredibly sad from one episode to another. In addition to that, includes a kind of side story with an impossible romance, seen by the other people in their respective worlds.

Life sucks hard and really is a pain in the ass when you become an adult. Both anime talk about the realities of modern society and deal with people with constant depression ... while still being hilarious. Uramichi and Nozomu share most of their personality traits about being in despair, and are also voiced by the same voice actor, which is coincidentally ironic and funny.

The main character trains his/her whole life to be the most powerful being ever, succeeds, and also becoming friends with a fangirl sidekick who wants to be as powerful as him/her. Both hilarious with the main difference of not being in the same kind of world.

Really hard to not admit that Noragami and Hanako-Kun are similar, which both invole the story of urban legends and wish for gods to save the main character life in some way. Both having an adorable overpowered godlike main character with dark backstory with his assistant schoolgirl going through numerous enemies harming them for the sake of harming them. Do I also need to tell you about alternance between the world of gods and humans.

Am I really the only one who doesn't understand how no one thought Day Break Illusion was similar to the Persona franchise? Both of these anime are taking place in present times with simple yet beautiful students developing and using tarot cards to fight "Shadow" like creatures appearing in a parallel world that also affect the real world. Day Break Illusion mainly focuses on the fight scenes and the dialogue between the main character and his enemies, which is interesting due to how guilty they felt over their actions. Their tarot cards power are portrayed to magical girls. Meanwhile, in Persona 4, there's a whole mystery to be unraveled regarding kidnappings, murders, and also the power of their tarot cards themselves (which are portrayed as Personas, a physical manifestation of their user's personality.) I could also comment on how similar DBI is to P3 and P5, but I recommend the best of the 3 in terms of anime and similarity. And for those who have seen P4 and are looking for this recommendation through the P4 MAL page, give it a try!

Main character being forced to do some kind of Battle Royale, because of a simple game which he can play on his cellphone. Both involve characters trying to survive death battles with their given superpowers. The only main difference in those two anime is that "Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku" is (Like its name) a Magical Girl, and "Darwin's Game" isn't

Both of these anime got almost the same concept : Some guy who got carried into a group of people (Harem like) and have to deal with it, by acting like he's not actually himself. "Ouran Koukou Host Club" having a main character that have to act like a boy, while he's actually a girl, and "Shomin Sample" having a main character that have to act like as if he were kind of gay (By loving muscles and all of that). They also feature characters that can be enjoyable during all of the episodes

Even if they have a completely different atmosphere ("Haiyoru!
