This manga was almost something special, and I enjoyed almost every chapter I read. Almost everything about this manga was perfect.
The endearing characters made me believe and cheer on their developing romance. Sakura, the dumb main character, is realistically dumb at schoolwork. I loved how Itsuki helped her when she struggled with schoolwork or tests. The art was also pretty and unique.
Unfortunately, there is a reason I have rated this manga a 6, and that is the rushed ending. The conflict is resolved in one chapter, and we never get to see the main characters actually date.

I've never completed Love Live. I watched episodes from each of the seasons, including Nijigasaki, but I didn't like them. There were too many characters and they weren't interesting to me at all.
Because of this, I was tentative to pick up this series. But, I did, and I can say, from someone who doesn't like the previous instalments of Love Live, this is a really good series. The story is about girls being idols. What more can you ask for? The art is so pretty and stunning. The character designs are great. I love the music in this series. Two girls are trying to keep their relationship a secret from their friends. That's it. The art is nice. The characters are nice. Everything about it is... nice. It doesn't do anything new with the characters. Heck, it's hardly as if the two mains are dating at all. If they even try to touch hands or anything, it's as if they'd implode. They're useless.
