Never has an anime had an ending quite as disappointing and garbage as akame ga kill in a long time, so much so it sours the entirety of the series. (Spoilers ahead!) The anime of akame ga kill has a completely different ending from the manga. The anime kills off the main character and all his friends for basically no reason than to give the supposed "protagonist" the spot light. It's wild to me that it's called akame ga kill when it doesn't focus on akame at all but instead this guy they kill off in the end. The manga has a far superior ending ... so just read that. 5/10

I don't have much to say about it, retrospectively the community overhyped this extremely, but I really don't have any complaints. It's not as funny as something like dagashi kashi, and they focus perhaps to much on the relationship instead of developing anything. But if you like romance that doesn't go anywhere and an anime that isn't phenomenal but a little fun. Go ahead and read kaguya sama, but if you're here for intense and engaging story that questions what romance really is, this anime isn't for you. It's not highbrow by any means but it also isn't trying to be. 6/10
