This is the sort of a gut-wrenching story I for sure didn't expect at first. Eleven years old girl gets abandoned by her mom and while walking home from supermarket finds a collapsed guy in the street and buys him to be a "kept man". Interesting premise enough, huh? Well...

Story - 7/10
It tugs all the wrong strings and is kind of painful to read, as you just keep wondering what or who did this girl anger to deserve such treatment, yet it is heart-warming to see Haruno try to cheer her up and often succeeding. When her parents are introduced later on, you find
...
probably the clearest target of vengeful hatred you will ever see. The reason I gave seven out of ten is simple - why the **** didn't anyone call child protection services, when there's a neglected minor involved, even if Haruno is a kept man?
Art - 8/10
Art is really nice, clear, backgrounds are well-drawn, the author doesn't neglect anything.
Characters - 9/10
The simple fact even an empty shell like Haruno starts to finally feel and the slow pace he keeps evolving as a human is well written, well thought out and the character as a whole is becoming multi-layered. Rinko is this little girl who tries her best to be strong, yet sometimes she just can't. Given her situation, I find it a little unrealistic she isn't way more devastated and scared, but still she's a decent characters, though Haruno brings everyone higher on the rating. Then we have Koyori, Haruno's ex "employer", who didn'T have that much screen time yet, so we'll see, but at this point she's trying to help as much as she can. Sumire is just cute and out of the know, so we'll see if she gets to know what's happening. Rinko's dad is absolute scum, but that's telling from one chapter.
I know this review is trash, but be kind. :D
