first season, a gundam was destroyed by atomic energy of other gundam. Main character not even impotent or losing a limb, back to action immediately wow go bang2 and no consequence...
second season, Gundam was destroyed by the other gundam by... destroying the main core unit that is once again AN ATOMIC ENERGY! Once again main character was unhurt and arrive in like 2 or 3 next episode WOW!

and always win without consequence WOW jesus walk in the park never lose anything (I don't see the point of losing a girl in first season ... have any MEANING).

hypocrite main character doesn't want to kill anyone but if you see the animation carefully he totally kill the pilot not one pilot MOST EVERYONE! A change of hearth out of blue... the best friend of main character were suddenly change of hearth and joining the other side because of BOOBS! I cannot find another reason than that.. because it took him SO LONG to talk to the other girl that she is not the LACUS! FOR GOD SAKE!

This anime scrap the main character then use the first season main character and blindly sided with the first season main character because he is the saint and this one is the devil like.... WTF! How can you make this kind of scenario while you start build up an audience, who starting love the other character... I cannot understand how can a creator this brain rot!

MS design is full of question and copy paste form the original gundam series, anime full of using reused animation asset.

Do not give a lot of hope while watching at first... Your expectaion will be destroyed.

A great starter for a newbie of gundam, Great story, simple, art still drawn most of it manual, politic were also simple not soo much not tos little, weapon and MS also MA is great.... You should begin your gundam story here... There is a romance.. in art of mechanic, romance between two character were also include in this series... This for me is a masterpiece and an excellent way to getting know about gundam and understanding of how a series of Gundam suppose to be, start from here...

Main character is already developed you don't need to see someone change, the struggle of trust between ... character is the key of the story it's the most realistic and amazing too see an anime where an effort doesn't betray you. War struggle is included there is so many anime not just anime a gundam series where they picturing a WAR is just a WAR in this movie you will see how the WAR fold and hurt pepole in so many ways...

The story totally nailed, opening and ending song are good. They totally nail the series... it was one of my best of all times..

This story were totally a breakthrough... an after adventure regular heroes story, a story of one of the legendary hero afterward is where it's begin, Is a totally simple and forward story also deep at the same time there is always an adventure after an adventure, this is an anime of relaxing to be told.

Good slow pace, nail the character, good in tradition, great art, good fantasy...

This anime were also reminder of how life is suppose to be... how we ... accept and decline the world how much change that happen surround us, you totally need to watch these series at least once in your life.

If you are teenager give this anime a time just put it on your watch list, someday when you are down or feel everything is not fair and feel that everyone surround you live in a greatness. And you want to end your life. That moment you should start watching series... you will find this series helping and pushing you forward to live just give it a try... this series are a reminder that we must appreciate anything given to us.

A Sudden change of Character make this movie trash. The story it self cannot sustain the greatness in gundam and mechanic, Stupidity is a middle name of this movie... Overall cannot be watched...

1. Jesus Yamato suddenly change the attitude. He should be more mature and more excellent in character since he make soo much charater development in two season, Shin Asuka become Totally a DUMB DOG, this is a disgrace for a people who character supposed to be impulsive and full of emotion...
2. Gundam Freedom from Great to Trash... There is no such thing as Randomize ... in this movie like how technology were changing and the gundam become weird, like using TESLA COIL as A WEAPON, to beat a laser beam? Are you kidding or stupidity just ruin you?
3. Story is all about NTR, or more like Cheating... you who loved a cuckold story will love this movie
4. Space ship become dumber, like WTF! how in the world you exposed the captain seat in the middle of battle? what for? more clearance to watch your own life taken? There is no clarify WHAT THIS IS USED FOR! for anyone who argue with me...
5. Creating a unit that become a shell unit for another, that have a problem, the design cannot fit in as a shell, the unit was ugly as hell worst than the original yet using the original design.. *the unit is ZGOK you should see the main use of the original use of the unit
6. There is no greatness and appreciation of the two series, there is so many thing in the movie was like a mocking of their own technology like how the Akatsuki work... like how the tesla coil were able to delete all kind of beam... A DEAD SOUL TRAGEDY BECOME A JOKE! HOW CAN YOU WITHSTAND THIS KIND OF THING
7. Congrats anyone who loved this movie were a brain rot generation of Gundam

One out of many option where you should start watching Gundam series. My recommendation you shouldn't begin here... There is no Sci-fi romance here, more action, stupidity, also too much simplified politic... Most of you who watch cannot engage or loved old other series of GUNDAM after this, because you begin with a stupidity... Your brain will decline all the goodness in old the gundam story series... Good luck.

The art are keep repeating in original animation, I suggest you watch the remake...

Story are simple like to point A to B.. and most of the MS and MA are copy paste from the original, the originality ... are only in the system and the three form of the MS version. Gundam is good looking, making you want to create the model itself, Character good looking...

Overall I cannot bring my self to really loved these series... The struggle are too little, story was like a copy paste homework directly from the original story of kidou senshi gundam.

Engine and mechanic Romance in this movie are bit weird...

Battle Ship Yamato is one of the greatest Sci-fi. If you love a romance + drama + politic + mechanic this is one of the series you should watch. There is a greatness watching a slow pace story line like yamato, to be honest I was delayed 11 years to watch this series and you know what? This series are worth to watch. Just put it in your mind if you hate a slow pace series this is not one of the movie you should watch, or maybe you should stop watching a sci-fi movie... Sci-fi movie is to be honest are a movie where ... you embrace the romance in the machinery or the science behind it... if you want to watching kill or be killed boom this and that go away from this category you should watch action mecha instead of Sci-fi genre
