Zegapain, namely how do you waste a grand potential the anime.

It's one of those shows that you will not be really liking, but watch until the end wishing that it will get better and you will see something that will make you amazed. Well in this case you will be only mildly amazed since even if story is really good the way its told just sucks.

Story: 3/10
In a Science fiction show/anime/novel/etc. i really value if the things can really happen in the world and if they have any value over fantasy because if they do not it wont be a science fiction for me its ... genre will be fantasy for me and i don't really like fantasy since i m into more realistic stuff. Well i am glad to say this anime is really realistic in terms of its scientific things. And the main point i watch this anime was because it was full of realistic imagination. Even though imagination is really good realization of the story is just really bad. It moves really slowly in the moments you don't want to see but it moves really fast on the ones that you want to see. Also later episodes has a feel of really odd rush on them, like you see fights and stuff a lot but they really skipped the main story elements for last few episodes.
So overall even if the idea is perfect, realization lacks a lot.

Art: 4/10
Really, there is nothing catchy about it. Battle scenes are mostly CGI and i mean i don't know if its a bad thing or not but don't expect to see really good animation here. But also don't expect to see really bad one either.

Characters: 2/10
Well i really hated characters and their relationships most of the time. It was not realistic at all. I only enjoyed to watch Arque's story and stuff but other characters were just like teenagers from a disney drama.

Enjoyment: 5/10
Even it was bad and slow in the scenes i want to be fast and vice versa, it still made me watch itself so it is good in this regard.

Sound: 6/10
Sound department is alright imo, there were nothing bad and i liked opening and ending musics a little at the first time i listened to them.

Overall: 4/10

This is how you turn a legend of an anime to a horrible one. There are really big mistakes here.
1. This show was a comedy one, not a hero action one. So if you are thinking about turning this show into a shounen anime you need better sound, art, character and story department because all of the shounens are miles ahead of this anime.
2. One Punch Man should be the main character while it had close to 0 screen time. Like the most laughable thing was interactions between genos and saitama but instead of this producer want us to see garo beating some weaklings, and ... get beaten by some other weaklings.
3. Story of Garo was only featured in one episode, and that was horrible story if you ask me. You just cant flash back all the way, you need to show how that character behaves in time. But they didnt bothered with that either.
4. The story consisted so so many fights, even shounens don't have that much fights in 12 episodes, when sound department is bad (same song plays every fight) and art department is just horrible you can't make a good anime out of fight scenes.
There are much much more mistakes that has been made, i wish they just copied season 1, that would be miles better than this anime.
In the end we really shouldn't call it OPM S2 instead it must be Garo S1, because that bad character was in every episode meanwhile saitama and genos are not.

So there are shows that you just watch because you like story, there are ones because you like characters or there are ones that you just fell in love with sound. And there are ones that without knowing why makes you hooked. This anime fits that category. Its bad in everything, but if it was good at them that would be an amazing series since its not boring to watch at all.

Domestic na Kanojo (AKA Wasted Potential: The Anime):

Story: 4/10 (*Slight Spoilers*)
Imagine a story which starts in a very good and unique way and lets you hooked for a few episodes. After that story became ... such a cliche and meaningless that it makes you forget how good story was for the first few episodes. Also this anime ends without a proper final, when i was watching it i said "ok i wonder what will happen in Ep. 13" but when i logged in MAL i saw there won't be any episodes, so this anime lacks a final as well. I'm sad that a story this unique wasted in such a bad way like this.

Art: 5/10
Nothing remarkable here, just your usual art stuff on mission.

Sound: 5/10
Ok, i will be honest this show has the best opening sound among the animes it was aired together. It also has a very very good ending song too but thats about it. I don't remember any melodies or any kind of OST vibe from this anime so we can say sound division only consists of opening and ending on this one and nothing far from that. Still since OP and ED was really good pieces i can give this a 5.

Characters: 2/10
There are 3 characters in this anime, which is Rui, Hina and main douchebag. Other than that characters are only and only appears in that anime to say some fancy stuff to these 3 characters. Other than that they are just a waste of thime, you wont be getting side characters stories or anything like that, i mean you wont be really getting the feelings of main characters as well so this is something you can expect i guess? Well its sad that this anime is horrible character wise.

Enjoyment: 8/10
Apart from some awkwardly odd filler episodes in a 12 episode anime (ones with side characters "stories") i really enjoyed it. I mean i dont know how can i enjoy this that much. I hope it was not my guilty pleasure or anything like that but i mean to be honest i really didnt get bored at all while watching this.

Overall:
If there is no season 2 while you are reading this review and if you are not already watched this show, don't watch it.

Have you ever think about what you fear the most? Is it spiders? Is it natural disasters? Or is it something more abstract like being heart broken? Well i thought what i fear the most was being cheated... But i never had a relationship or love that is so strong that would totally tear me apart if i lose my loved one. In this show, love between characters are so strong that you can feel it as if its your love which is being torn apart.

Story: 10/10 (*Slight spoilers for this section*)
Every human in this planet, i do think feels incomplete. They search for things ... that they can complete them, maybe that's a nice suit, maybe that's cars, maybe it's so small like a flower, maybe it is love... In this show love is told in an abstract way, like it should. Feelings we have for people should be abstract, it should not be straightforward or else that would be only liking... Real love is complex, real love finds its way, real love does hurt, real love has obstacles, real love is understanding even if you don't, real love is hope, real love is sorrow... this show has real love. I think guitar playing which is accompanied by piano is a really good example for that, real love just sticks together without any plan or without any form of thinking in mind.

I get really really sad when piano sounds from music room 2 has stopped. It broke my heart so much, it didn't feel good at all... Like my love is the one being torn apart.

I'm not a good judge of art, but if art is conveying feelings, then this one does it.

Sound: 8/10
Sound plays a really big role in this anime. Voice actors i think did a great job but i don't think original soundtrack of this anime was that catching. I have heard some epic soundtrack of final fantasy series and animes like Clannad's before so i can't really give it a 10 in this area, sorry.

I have to say, i hate people that cheat. I really hate people that cheat but i kinda felt sad for all of the main characters of this show. I knew they all did bad things, they all had bad thoughts and they all were so selfish that i wanted to smack them in face... but at the same time i feel pretty bad for all of them and wished best for all of them through the end of the show. Characters have some special aura between them that they stick together pretty well; like that complicated puzzle of yours, you cant see the small pieces when you look at it from afar. Each character was as realistic as possible, they had their own thoughts and motivations but they don't show those straightly as real humans do. You have to guess their inner motivations, as it is in real life...

Enjoyment: 7.5/10
This part will be interesting for some because it is so low compared to other sections. I do believe episodes of 2-3-4-5-6-8 were not necessary and had slow pace compared to other part of the series. Last 3 episodes were absolutely striking in terms of enjoyment and other episodes from the ones mentioned above was pretty good.

Overall:
Now i have to write things here, i usually am pretty logical guy when it comes to decisions and by logic i can say this anime deserves 8.5 overall score. But my feelings would give it 10/10 if i was deciding anime ratings with my feelings. This time i will make a special treatment for the series since i feel its the most realistic anime that i have watched in terms of emotions so i will rate it with only my emotions in mind.
Overall: 9.5/10.

Ok, i really dont know how people rate this more than 5. There are lots of meaningless scenes, %70 of this show is waste of time in my standards. So why does it sucks for me?

Story: 3 (Poor)
Calling this meaningful is the same as calling a coke can meaningful. All characters are paranoid, main character is schizophrenic. The story progresses like this, child goes to school for 3 minutes, on school teacher writes things to empty board without any ost but ASMR blackboard sounds. Then character gets some kind of dizzy state than somebody says 1 out of topic word, than she says another meaningless ... one... you got it.

Art: 7 (Good)
Drawings are good, yet dull. Because they are alone, nothing is strong enough to support art in this anime. So we can say only strong and dominant thing about this anime is art.

Sound: 7 (Good)
Ok, opening song is one of the best opening songs in the world, and sound recordings of this anime is ASMR quality. That being said, there are not interesting BGM's and most of the anime passes in silence. So if there isnt a good opening or good qualitied recording i would be giving it 3.

Character: 1 (Pathetic)
Yes throw some paranoid characters. Show characters eyes for literally 5 minutes per episode, so people can see how well made these characters are. Truly pathetic.

Enjoyment: 1 (Pathetic)
Lets say you are waiting a bus for 20 minutes, waiting bus to go to destined location for 40 minutes, and walking from there to somewhere for 15 minutes in a daily basis. And lets say you dont have that much distraction (like you dont have music player, smart phone and stuff). Would you be able to enjoy this thing? If yes then you can give it a 10 because 15 minute of an episode is filled with these kind of stuff.

Overall: 3 (Poor)
I really was positive about this anime, and reviewed in a positive way.
So 3 is it? Yes, its the best i can give to this anime, really.

Ok guys. You seriously should not watch this before there is an annoucement for season 2.
And probably there will not be any season 2 announcements or it will take too long (novel is still not finished).

Story: 1
There are lots of unanswered questions in story. You cant really give higher score to an unfinished project. To my observations, this anime is only aired to advertise the novel. Thus there are no results in the story.

Art: 7
Its good but last episodes were not drawn well, art on last few episodes looks like rushed a little bit.

Sound: 6
Your avarage anime osts with a good opening. Voice acting ... was avarage too.

Character: 2
You will not believe how unrealistic characters are. You will be watching a clown with a superpowers as a main char. Too bad this is not a comedy anime, it can get more votes than this as a comedy anime.

With all this in mind, it was still enjoyable.
