Both are anime that revolve around a harem (one is reverse and the other isn't) that focus on wacky shenanigans and fourth wall breaks. The harems are more of a family than them only flaunting over the main lead. I would understand if you don't end up liking 100 girlfriends for its fanservice moments but I would still give the anime a shot. If you want two animes that have silly humor with touching moments, then you can't go wrong with either of them.
