When it comes to having the resbonsibility of parenthood thrown on you, the two men in both of these anime do not disappoint to provide them a heartwarming home. Disclaimer: Papakiki has a very obnoxious, generic otaku-like character...he's a creep. Try not to let him ruin it for you :P

Quite similar in many ways. Similar character setups (different designs/personalities) for the most part. Girl and main guy, and girl's friends and their guy/boy friends

Clannad and Kanon have a similar kind of Tragedy element, where Kanon is slightly stronger in Tragedy, and Clannad has a stronger Commedy/Romance feel. They'll both make you cry and if you love one, you'll like (or love) the other.

I've never seen such a close comparison: Shakugan no Shana Talking amulet Love between powerful girl and someone no longer human which whishes to become stronger. Zero no Tsukaima Talking sword Love between powerful girl and someone no longer huma which wishes to become stronger. Of course, Louise (main girl of ZnT) and Shana have the same seiyuu. I think this is just the tip of the iceburg.

Suzuka has Track and Field... Nodame Cantabile has classical music... Both animes have characters at first which don't take what they do seriously. They devote themselves more and more as their love for the other character increases. Suzuka isn't based as heavily on track as Nodame Cantabile is on music. Suzuka has more drama while Nodame Cantabile has more performance. NC is a 2007 anime so it's somewhat more visually and audially appealing. Suzuka isn't as good, but it still has a strong story :)
