Air Gear is not your average anime. It has it's own uniqueness and actually follows a story unlike many animes I have seen having many fillers. I was one of those people thinking "oh, it's about sports" and I thought it would be like Yu-Gi-Oh! or Pokemon but after the first 3 episodes, I got hooked to the series.
Now onto the ratings.

Story : 9/10
The story was excellent as far as the anime went, I didn't read the manga but the way they ended the episodes made you want more. It was just one of those animes that ended the episodes right ... to make you want to watch more. The anime itself was very enjoyable and I thought I should give it a 9 because it wasn't the best, but it was a great anime.

Art : 9/10
The art was that of your average anime, with a bit of uniqueness but not enough to make you think it's CG or something. Not that it should be, but the art work wasn't as good as some newer animes and airgear isn't that old.

Sound : 7/10
Although the sounds in the anime were unique in their own way, they were heard way too much and kind of got annoying. For this, the sound gets a 7/10 rating.

Character : 3/10
The characters were well developed, some not so much but and the anime had me questioning some things a bit. For this I give character a 3/10

Enjoyment : 10/10
Although I didn't get my full satisfaction of the anime, I enjoyed it to the very end. This is a must watch anime for people who enjoy funny, magical, a bit of ecchi, and adventerous types of anime.

OVERALL I give Airgear a 9/10.
