A perfect example of judging a book by it's cover!
The art (at least when it's to the female anatomy) is spectacular! Everything else, passable.
The story.... You'd think that the author would have an easy path to writing a story about a chef transported to a world where they literally only cook to survive.... but you'd be wrong. Instead of driving the story home about how food unifies and mends bridges or what not it instead focuses on petty politics, made up drama, and of course over simplification of the most mundane things.... AND THAT WOULD BE FINE AND ALL IF THE MUNDANE THING COULD AT
...
LEAST BE FOLLOWED LIKE FOOD RECIPES, BUT YOU CANT! ALL FOOD AND INGREDIENTS IS MADE UP SO YOU CAN'T EVEN FACT CHECK IT LOL.
Look, the intro is a solid 8. Outside of how stupid the MC died, or about how important certain things are to then quickly get forgotten all about in the following chapters, It's fine.. New world, cooking knowledge, pretty girls with tragic back stories. What can go wrong? Sorry, that's the wrong question. The correct question is " How do I mess this up?". This is how!
FINAL THOUGHTS:
SKIM IT! Hahaha, That's my honest review! It would be too harsh to the artist if we did not appreciate some of the panels he drew the female body in. I mean you can see the front cover of this manga and see that he definitely has talent. His art is wasted on such a story in my honest opinion. I'm not talking about the art with my other brain either, it's genuinely good. So skim it! Just read a page here, skim 20, and so on and you'll be done in less than 1 hour. Honestly the story is so linear that you won't even miss anything anyways! Don't waste your time otherwise!

One thing I want to convey to the readers of this review is that this manga is special.
Let me explain, in all the manga that I've read I don't think I've ever read one that is this... unique! NOW LISTEN! Unique doesn't mean good or bad just different, OK?! It has a ton of elements that you will recognize from other Manga like lv. Menus, coincidental miracles, OP MC, but it delivers these concepts sooooo much more differently than most manga (sometimes)! They do that through the core theme of the manga being (and this is not a spoiler, it's literally in the synopsis) that
...
the MC has the ability to save a checkpoint in his current "play-through" and at any point if he feels like he messed up or needs more time, he can restart back from the checkpoint and try a different route. This mixed with the way they they portray the story in a kind of detective-esk way really makes you feel like you are being taken for a ride with the MC into whatever his current mission objective is.
The story itself keeps you reading, wanting to know more about this bazaar world that our MC has to interact with. The game overlay theme is there strictly for convenience, I can do without this feature (not the restart mechanic), but I guess I understand it's purpose which is to move the story forward as quickly and seamlessly as they can. The characters are ok, outside of the main heroine (who grows throughout the story) none of them really have much depth to them. They are very 1 dimensional and even our MC is lacking in originality. His only saving factor is that he isn't afraid of women/ whiny as others.
This manga is a bit of a roller coaster honestly! I CAN IT PROUDLY WHEN I SAY THAT YOU REALLY DON'T KNOW WHERE IT'S GOING TO GO! Sure you might guess the next panel over but then next thing you know, boom something completely different happens that defies your expectations! Again, that doesn't mean that it's something good lol but at least it's different; So enjoy the ride, and see where it takes you. I for one, am still a passenger of this journey.

Really fast vague Review go!
Our MC ( who was isekai'd into this fantasy land) likes to frequent brothels. This manga dives into his battles* with the sex workers he wrestles with, but not in a horny kind of way, more comedic in a sense. As he levels up in the cough* wrestling, he starts to develop a bit of a reputation for himself as "Dr.Slime" and he starts to challenge more formidable foes. The story, although it tries to add tension here and there, fails as there really isn't ever anything huge at stake, which is fine as this isn't the reason... you're literally reading
...
a perv going to brothels... The art is actually decent but then the action* scenes aren't drawn out so I guess it leaves you with a sense of wanting. Lastly, the direction... yup... no where in sight. It's just a read, you read it as a pass time, there are better things out there but you still read this light manga for the light humor.
That's all there is to it. just a bunch of random ideas put together for the sake of adding more story to this manga (especially towards the later chapters...) but yeah, read it if you want to just not read something serious...
ok bye!

First off, this manga has a bad wrap, and I get it. If you believe that the world is full of sunshine and that nothing bad ever happens in the world, Don't read this manga. If you are an adult that can understand that you might not know someone as well as you think you might know them and that each and everyone of us has their own ideals and desires. Then I think this manga is pretty good.
See, The reason people have a problem with this manga is because they want everything to go well for the MC, I understand this, I too felt
...
my stomach turn sour when certain scenes turned out the way they did, but if you accept it as what it is, a person with their own wants and needs, then it is easier to accept the actions that these characters do. Even the MC accepts this fact once he realizes that just because he perceived certain people to be a certain way, and they are not, though frustrated, HE KNOWS that they are free to do what they want to do as long as it doesn't bring harm others. Unlike these softies that are rating this manga a 5 or lower.
Yes there are some messed up things that happen in the manga and honestly I'm trying my best not to spoil anything, but it is through these moments that the MC grows and moves forward with his life and lets go of some of his childish ideas! Ideas that honestly are outdated in this day and age! That's what gets me about the negative score of this manga, that in this day and age, women and men can do whatever whatever they want to do with their bodies and we have no place to judge them, the MC learns this, yet the readers that give this manga such a low review are so daft that they can't learn themselves.
Anyways, if you made it his far down my review know that it gets better, for the MC and for the readers. at least that's where it stands in chapter 20.
P.S. Not gonna lie, Though I know I said that the internal struggles about letting go of this image that he held to one of his friends makes him stronger, in no way does it make it easier to read. I honestly skipped certain scenes dialogue because I didn't want to feel so much pain that the MC was going through, I just knew how the scene would turn out and I would read a word here and there to confirm that that is where the scene was going to before I skipped certain pages. Again, this is nothing bad with the author's writing, it's just a though pill to swallow as our MC suffers through it. You'll see what I mean.

As an avid isekai Reader, I can say skip this one.
The Theme of the story (using healing magic in offensive ways by instantly healing one self to continue rigorous training/fighting) albeit somewhat interesting in the first few chapters, is just that.... I personally found myself getting bored of this theme very quickly into the story as this is the only driving factor, as the story itself has no new content.
One thing that really bothers me in Anime/Manga is how the author wants us the readers to react or perceive a character by constantly telling us about said characters great characteristics. This manga does this a
...
lot. This manga also takes advantage of "oh I'm so afraid of my sensei beating me up so I will fight this impossible battle as it's probably easier then to face the fury of my sensei crap!" Ugh how cliche and simple minded. I don't want to read a manga where the MC only does what he does to avoid the fury of who ever, especially when it's supposed to be a tense moment. It takes away from the severity of the situation.
Another disappointing point with this Manga is the fact that as the reader we can easily decipher which villains are going to have a change of heart. This villain is literally going to destroy the kingdom if he wins the fight! NP, our MC has the only ability to win miraculously even though he's ONLY A HEALER! OMG WHO WOULD HAVE KNOWN! *rolls eyes* OMG WHAT THE VILLAIN NOW IS GOING TO REFORM AND BECOME ONE OF THE CREW!!!! HOW CAN ONE MAN CHANGE THE HEARTS OF EVERYONE!!!!.... (dumb sarcasm)
It's just.... Sooooooo bad!!!!! I don't mind change of heart themes, but if it's done with as little effort as stealing candy from a baby then I just can't get behind it. It's just insulting to us the readers unless you are like 10.
Outside of all that though honestly I've read worse, and as i've mentioned before, this manga does have a somewhat strong begging so for all it's worth I give it a very generous 5. VERY GENEROUS.
The arts is nice, the writing is horrible, our MC is mid, 5 out of 10 wouldn't read again.
