Bright art, bursting characters, and ADORABLE helpers! The storyline has a dark undertone, and it gets quite obvious as the story progresses. The ending is also quite the show for it's viewers.

We have action, supernatural events, dark tones to the plot, and pretty much characters clones made by BONES. How doesn't the main protagonist seems to base their appearance from the other in the similar anime?

Both series have humans who are able to transform themselves with extraterrestrial powers and fight off evil. The alien monsters encountered in Symphogear can be the same applied as being viruses as well in this Rockman series.

They're both harems, to say the very least. You have the main hero guy getting more girls one-by-one as the story progresses. Interesting to say, these are both action series where the guy isn't just standing by the sidelines while the ladies do the work. They take the effort to be useful and stand up as a hero to them.

Besides the fact that these series mostly revolve around the use of drawing their powers from card(s), there are some serious tones throughout the plot. The duels of both of these series determine the player's of the big outlook of Survival of the Fittest. Losing a duel could be least costly of dropping reputation to costing lives.

The similarities between these two series are the two main attractions: mechas and fighting aliens. What's very similar about the mechas is the ability to transform into jet mode and humanoid form. One cool thing to note are the pilot characters. Both series have the common concept of forming a 3-man team when sortied.

The battles mainly take place in the virtual world. In Rockman, the enemies you fight are viruses, and you gain things after deleting those viruses. Same concept with SOA, you fight monsters, and you gain things from stuff they drop. Another neat thing to point out, there are Charged techniques used in both series. Rockman's Charged Shot, and Kirito's Charged Slash.

The concept of fighting in other worlds is similar, with just a small difference. Characters "Wave in" or "Burst Link" themselves to a world that mirrors the real world, while being something completely different that masks their identities while in the other world. Not only is there a similar world concept, but fighting each other is present as well as gaining unique abilities from battling experience or even from each other.

Both series have bright colors to their animation, but there is some deeper meaning as to what everyone fights for in their case. Interesting as it would be, there are aliens just roaming places like it's nothing.
