I shit you not, I thought this manga was going to be about mewing yet somehow it turned out to surpass even that level of ridiculousness. It might have some puns lost in the translation since Japanese tend to wordplay a lot, but I don't know since I read it in English. The shenanigans are great to kill time and be entertained but don't expect much after.

This is such a great historical time capsule of storytelling. Some of these stories have been passed down for generations from storyteller to storyteller all over the world. For example, the story of the Death God or "Shikigami" is an old tale known as the Godfather Death, in this book Yoshiro shows us the Japanese twist to the original story with great charm. The last story is the gem of the book as I prefer the Mexican variant of the Godfather Death tale in the movie Macario.
