First off, the settings and characters were actually pretty interesting. There's a lotta manwha where the settings and characters feel super flat and to be honest this one did a pretty good job tho.
However, they just forgot to give the male lead any likable scenes. While overloading him all the scenes where he's unlikable and terrible.
In relationships like this, usually you have the male lead not do a ton of harm, or at the very least show how hard he is trying to do his best and truly be better for the romance.
But this utterly pathetic male lead just is a complete douche, and
...
while he has a few moments where he does the bare minimum. He just throws it back in everyone's face when it matters.
Fuck this mc, and the self pity and loathing the male lead felt was all true and deserved.
Just the thought of him getting rewarded for his self obsessed pathetic behavior was why I stopped.
Fuck the male lead.

"Slavery is poggers!"
Literally just dude walkin around, thirstin over his slaves, and some magic inbetween.
Isekai ok I see you.
-----
On a more serious note:
...
Its a pretty bland isekai, that relies heavily on the fanservice to carry it. Where the fightings ok at times, I thought the MMO-like party dynamic they were focusing on was pretty cool. But besides that the fighting was lackluster, and happened for the most part in near identical places so it didnt even seem that different each time it happened.
Characters were ok I guess. The girls ears look super fluffy, so thats nice i guess.

Super recommend! Feels like its trying to take the common chinese anime genre of modern girl reincarnated/transported to distant china and make the focus more food over martial arts and stuff.
First off I just wanna mention the food flashback moments. Where similar to food wars, occasionally they have the food flashback scenes, where usually in food wars youd call these foodgasms here they are usually just super toned down flashbacks, and while they can be interesting and plotwise I think they use them kinda well, they can drag sometimes and feel a bit flat especially when compared to the food wars versions.
Besides that
...
however, its a pretty entertaining show, with a slight downtick in fighting compared to its contemporaries, and a huuuge uptick in cooking as one would hope.
Food looks and sounds delicious, definitely leaves me wanting to cook something for myself.

Fun chill chinese anime, that is a bit rough sometimes as is many chinese anime, however I just rewatched it and defenitely found it enjoyable. If you have seen other chinese anime its in the same vein as The Demonic King Who Chases His Wife (Xie Wang Zhui Qi), and a bit further away but still similar to Cinderella Shef(Meng Qi Shi Shen). Those 2 are probably betterish, although head to head I found Demonic king a bit more inconsistant, and its a lot more combat focused than Cinderella chef.
The biggest problem for me, is the first episode. It drags a bit, and honestly on
...
rewatch I just skip it.
Honestly, if you were interested enough to read this and are looking for a show thats enjoyable but you might forget after a few weeks, look no further and you might as well just put on the first few episodes and see how ya like it.

Tl;Dr
Relaxing show about a young main character and the rest of the elder cast surrounding a restaurant. No action, no over the top drama, just a relaxing story with some fun and interesting characters.
(Light spoilers ahead so watchout!)
Now onto the breakdown!
Story: I really enjoyed the story. So often nowadays, a show with a plot such as this would have some over the top drama happen and I was personally super worried about that happening... All of the main characters get developed pretty well.
The only real thing I could point to here, would be at times it felt a bit jarring when the show
...
decided to focus on a different character and the main character felt missing.
Art and Sound: I dont have too much to say about either so I will lump em in. I enjoyed the soundtrack and the sound effects and for both good and bad nothing really stood out to me. And the art was really good, it matched the tone of the show well and rarely if ever underperformed.
Character: All of the characters are really interesting, and fleshed out. Some more than others of course, but even the more strange comic relief style characters are really interesting and likable.
Overall a super enjoyable and relaxing show. The main character I appreciated her role a lot as usually surrogate characters are just close enough or cliche enough to be able to turn your brain off when they are on screen or something, but nicoletta felt as if she was seeing a very similar world to me, and the characters faced that same world earlier and are trying to help her grow into her own.
This show ends up having something for everyone, whether your a college student about to embark on a similar journey as nicolleta, or someone already on that journey.

Taisou Samurai has a very unrealistic start, but dont let that put you off. It never devolves into unrealistic gag antics, but ends up being a great show that never treats itself too seriously but still treats its characters with respect.
The Characters are probably the most important part of Taisou Samurai and the show very heavily centers on their struggles. Each character starts out very stereotypically but ends up growing into their own. My biggest concern was the overuse of certain characters due to trying to add extra useless gags or something, but this did not end up happening.
The Sound was good, every single
...
sound felt good and like it belonged. It didnt have any insane sounds or anything but it felt like it worked brilliantly.
I enjoyed the show alot, and my only regret regarding this show was how long it took me to find it. I brushed it off when it first started airing and ended up watching it just a week before its final episode.

Worse overall quality and excitement, but setup for next season.
A few big complaints being
-First few episodes are super meh.
-Animation is a big drop from season 1
-Main cast other than Ye Qiu from season 1 could literally be replaced by any other character and it wouldnt change a thing.
...
*If you want to watch this, but dont feel the urge to watch it asap I would just wait till a month or so before season 3 and watch it then. That way the setup wouldnt feel as flat, and this season could just reignite any remaining excitement from season 1 and prep you for season 3 where the buildup is hopefully paid off.
---------------------------------------
The first few episodes are really dissapointing, I would guess they are here to show the 10th server a bit more before it becomes irrelevant like the rest of the main cast from season 1 and to give this season some exciting episodes. When watching it while it was airing, I felt the seasons held me back from what I wanted and were super uninteresting, might be slightly better on a rewatch because they dont suck up a week but only 20 minutes instead but it still wouldnt be good.
After the first few episodes however, it starts to do a really good job at setting the next season up to be a great season with all the set up they've created. With character growth and change postponed for introductions which were interesting but I felt a bit dissapointed about a few of the characters basically not existing this season. The new introductions are pretty exciting and cool, with there being only one exception but this exception is out of the main cast so its not as bad as doing this to them.

-No Spoilers-
Kuragehime is a really fun show with a mature handling of its immature characters. This shows cast was fun, vibrant, and relatable almost like march comes in like a lion with a romantic focus.
I feel like the biggest minuses to this show is the romance arc feels somewhat forced and that the show would really benefit from maybe a few more minutes for wrapping up a bit more.
Characters
Every single character feels well developed and relatable, every action and emotion they are feeling is pretty well setup.
Romance Arc (This usually breaks shows imo)
This show does indeed contain the midseason romance arc, and although it
...
isnt perfect and fades unexpectedly it wasnt horrible. However, the fact they didnt break the main cast to do this romance arc is a huge plus since the main characters make this show.
Beginning
This show started out really strong and even though I felt very wary of the show taking the super easy romantic route it didnt, and the dynamic between the main cast was super fun and vibrant.
Ending
It feels incomplete, and even though it feels like a 12 episode show where they forgot to air the 11th I cant see the continuation of the show to be anything but feeling like it overstayed its welcome.

*Warning* A lot of Yaoi Fanservice, basically every episode has some sort of fanservice few minutes where there arent any dicks or anything, but there is all but
*Warning Over*
This show was super fun, and even with the gratuitous amount of fanservice the show had a very wholesome and heartwarming romance that as long as you ignore the creepy stockholm syndrome vibes during the first few episodes can be super rewarding.
Cons- This show very obviously has a main character and a main romantic interest, and even though it didnt hurt my enjoyment of the show, the romantic interest can feel somewhat underdeveloped (Azumaya, Junta)
...
compared to the main character (Saijou, Takato)
-The Drama Arc- This show of course has the romance staple, the Drama Arc, this is where shit hits the fan and the relationship is tested. This is where I have usually dropped/lost interest in the show but luckily this show is not one of those. The Drama Arc happened basically at the finale of the show (with the last episode feeling like a OVA) the Drama Arc did a great job of making sure the audience had no doubts about this romance, and really showed how serious and how devoted our characters are.
Story- Super generic romance, except a little extreme on the fanservice. At first the relationship seems pretty rapey and that kinda got to me during the first few episodes but it feels alot more genuine after this and ends up being a super heartwarming relationship.
Character design/Art-Fine, the characters look good and I never felt that the art took away from anything.
Sound- The music and sound effects were standard, a few moments I was taken out of it due to the sound quality (but I am also streaming it on certain sites so who knows how much of that was the shows fault).
Enjoyment- This was one of those shows that was just insanely enjoyable, I just watched every episode and enjoyed it alot. Not many shows, even ones I consider better shows can leave me with such a nice and simple heartfelt enjoyment.

Overall, it was a super mediocre fantasy about a op witch (Doesnt really feel op, but now that I think about it I dont think anyone else can contend with her poower) with some companions that travel to find a book.
The Positives-
The main draw to me, is the setting. I really appreciated that they went with a more classical fantasy (and classical whitches) and even though it didnt feel particularly well done, or interesting it was a nice breeze of fresh air with all the by the numbers isekai and game-like settings.
Another big plus to me, was the super cute sequence at the very end
...
right before the end credits. The music, and visuals were super nice and it really made me regret breezing through this show as fast as I did.
Cons-
The character designs were ok nothing special and the characters themselves were pretty boring and standard. The biggest problem byfar is that alot of these characters have pretty standard troupes except for the fact that maybe they wanted them to feel more realistic so its insanely watered down meaning one of the few character traits they have is barely shown and insanely underplayed making them feel super boring.
Art, sound, and such werent very interesting and just like the character designs were passable and fine nothing particularly good though.
Story- Kinda bad, it felt super lackluster at times and if they had more humor or entertaining characters that coulda fixed that by filling up time and made each episode feel more eventful or entertaining.
