There's a reason it's super popular, but don't go expacting something special.
It is funny at times, with usually childish low brow humor, which is fun. I'd give it 8/10 for that.
That art style is good, quite unique, great flowing paneling and the best action/fight choreagrophy there is. 9.5/10.
The story starts off well but soon goes to dumb fight for fighting sakes. If you're looking for story, finish at the piccolo saga. It's 6/10 until then, 3/10 since.

It starts when a man sqcrifices his own life so other may be spared. A story on imperfect (to say the least) protaganist growth from and management of trauma, hardship, realationship and the cruel hand of determinism.
Warning: very explicit, very grusome, everything wrong you can imagine and a lot that you couldn't, it depicts. Not for the those feint of heart. It's start with a shocker, to weed out those who couldn't digest it. Int the first part, it would be hard to understand, just seems like slasher manga, but later we get to see what took us to this point, and it shows it with such brilliance that you can't not empethize fully and get crush too when the ...

Very average manga. The arcs feels very loosely connected, and you feel like a pinball, the magic system is the worst- extremley soft and "whatever i need for the plot", yet extremley convoluted and sciencey (a chapter full of 90% text is needed to explain it which comes out to be 'anything is possible, for some people, unless I want it for others too').
Except killuah none of the characters have real depth to them, most of the character have some, but not as detailed as in other mangas, (saying that, they are still very likeable!). It starys fine, and with great promise but than it revealed ... |
