If are associated with the anime community you have heard of Shingeki No Kyojin (Attack on Titan) but is it as good as it is told out to be?
Story: 6/10
I'm not going to lie AoT Starts off quite smoothly, Attack on Titan progresses quite normally up until the Titan confrontation. The action is quite well done but to get to the action you have to sit through hours upon hours of recaps and people only talking; some episodes may provide better info on the current situation but many are simply recaps; hell one episode is a recap while cannons are being pointed at main characters.
...
The Titans also progressively manage to intelligently wipe out high class ranking soldiers but as soon as main characters rear their ugly heads around the titans move more sluggishly and barely ever try to attack. As the show progresses, plot holes begin opening. It does have the eventual heartfelt moments that tend to last 4 seconds. Comedy is sometimes implemented and works quite well occasionally. Attack on Titan has some GREAT plot twists but still has plot twists viewers can see a mile away.
Character 5/10
This is the biggest shortcoming for the show.
The main characters suffer no character development. They stay initially the same from begging to end. The main characters also show barely any regard for their dead friends or the safety of some of their alive buddies. Erin is always mad at Titans claiming to kill them, throughout the series he pretty much works for himself on his own agenda. Mikasa is a emotionless kick-ass girl who's top of her class, you've clearly seen this character many many times, but many times but this time she's almost two dimensional only caring for Erin and the occasional other friend, oddly she also is more animated than every other character. And we come to Armin, this little dude only exists to spout information we already know and be saved from even the simplest of predicaments. However he is given some very heartfelt moments that come maybe twice. One of the most popular, Levi is one of the only one(s) who actually progresses within the show and is given somewhat heartfelt scenes.
It’s pretty sad when side characters have more character development than the main characters. "Oddly" enough These are the most liked characters in the show mainly . These are the likable characters; every side character is relate able to a point. Even the antagonists in the show are more likable than the Angry Erin.
Art 9/10
For how much crap I've talked on the show ;The animation is absolutely beautiful and the art is quite swell. However The background character design gets repetitive FAST! There is also a large noticeable black outline on most characters. Some characters are more animated and more detailed than others (Refer to Mikasa). The Titans however are always new and terrifying.
Sound 8/10
The sound is done amazingly well, especially the First Opening. The voice acting is great with some characters but others have insanely overdone acting, dwarfing even Tommy Wiseau. Also The 1st opening is new and great sounding.
Attack on Titan has so many issues that wouldn't be overlooked in other shows but they aren't really addresed, this show is a hit or miss situation; You may enjoy it but in my opinion, It's mediocre at best

Okami-san
Embodying the fairy tales of yore, Okami-San is a fun, hilarious, romantic romp. (Warning, there is a spoiler at the end of the story panel)
Story
The story centers upon a modern day club, The Otogi High School Bank, which does essentially any requested favor which in return earns the club a favor that can be cashed in at any time. This club plot seems quite over-used but Okami-san offers a unique story line where many episodes are re-telling of classic fairy tales, such as Cinderella, but with a memorable Okami-san twist. Many are quite noticeable and others are more subtle. The Romance between the
...
main characters starts off with one sided love but both begin realizing their feelings as the show progresses. The ending although a cliffhanger, was great where it left off being a true Tsundere ending, with Ryōko not being able to express her romantic feelings.
Characters
All characters within Okami-San are quite pleasant; the side characters are lovable and the main antagonist is delightfully evil. Much like the plot, all characters are based on fairytale characters.
Ryōko Ōkami is the “Main character” within Okami-San. Beginning as a simple Tsundere, scary and tough on the outside and sweet and kind on the inside, but is later learned she has had a tough last couple of years. She originally sees Ryōshi as a weakling but later develops romantic feelings for Ryōshi.
Ryōshi is actually the “real” main character with many segments focusing on him. Ryōshi is a shy boy suffering from Ophthalmophobia, a fear of people staring at him. Ryōshi also is able to blend into the environment for he has a bland appearance. Incidentally he is deeply in love with Ryōko doing everything is his power to protect her.
Art
The Backgrounds are pleasant and the character designs are almost standard, however the character design also portrays the personality of a character. Such as Ryōshi, whose eyes are rarely shown showing his ability to blend into the environment. Many other character designs portray the fairytale character the character is based off of.
Sound
Quite standard, although the narrator’s voice frequently cuts off many of the important details due to loudness (This may be only my copy)
Overall
Okami-san is an adorable comedy that is well worth the watch

The Sweet aspect of Love
Honey and Clover is a Romantic Dramatic Comedy were emotions run high, comedy hits hard and watchers may be reduced to tears (Including Me Many Times).
Story 9/10
The story seems familiar at the beginning, the main character meets a girl, who looks older than she actually looks and is coincidentally amazing at art. But everything beyond that is fresh and new including every situation within the show; you’ll never know what will happen next. The Romance has enough fuzzy feelings to carbonate the ocean 3 times over. It may progress slowly and you may feel like you have it mapped out
...
but than it takes a completely different turn. The drama is in abundance, many main characters suffer when things don’t go their way. When The Comedy does appear it is quite well
needed and flat out, gut bustingly hilarious (THANK YOU MORITA-SAN!).
Characters 10/10
Honey and Clover produces some of the most memorable and lovable characters of all time. Every character progresses GREATLY within the show.
Takemoto is a 19 year old college student living in the some house as his best friends Morita and Mayama. He is very mellow and is quite the likable dude. He soon acts as a big-brother figure to Hagumi, always being there for her and always ready to help her.
Hagumi is a cute 18 year old girl with the appearance of a small child. She is very skilled in art but is shy and very nervous when conversing with those she does not know.
Morita is a happy go lucky 24 year old 6 time student. He is very comedic and mysterious, randomly showing up and leaving the household. 75% of all the comedy comes from Morita’s insanity or crazy situations which are very swell
Mayama is the “normal” one. Being nice and always helpful is this man’s strong suit. He is very caring towards his friends
Ayumi is a well-known ceramic artist, making fast friends with Hagumi because of her kind nature
Many more side characters come into play but all of them are well handled and lovable.
Art: 10/10
The Art is AMAZING; everything appears with a water color like hue, the character design is cute and all are reminiscent of the characters personality. The Openings especially is beyond beautiful, one being done with stop motion food and the other being animated.
Sound: 9/10
The VA cast is lively and captures characters perfectly. The Opening and background music is a well-made treat.
Overall 9/10
It may start out slowly but gains speed. If you like to Laugh, Cry, and Wonder what the Hell is coming next; HONEY AND CLOVER is the show for you.

If that synopsis didn’t suck you in, the lovable cast of characters sure as hell will.
Story 8/10
Let’s be honest here, You’ve never seen a story like this. Midori days is a comedic Romance. The Romance is quite cute but may disappoint you in the end depending which female character you wanted to “win”. The comedy is quite funny consisting of slapstick but also given a helping hand with awkward situations and dirty jokes.
Characters 9/10
The excelling point which Midori greatly uses to its advantage
Seijei starting off as a stereotypical anime delinquent Seijei realizes fighting has its disadvantages, mostly scaring away girls. Sadly he has gone seventeen
...
years without a girlfriend and will do anything to gain one. When Midori joins him, he develops a sweet side giving up a lot of his delinquent pastimes. He has a willingness to help innocent people, very oblivious to those who love him, and is very kind to his friends.
Midori is a carefree, fun, although shy girl. She has been in love with Seijei for 3 years and coincidentally one day wakes to find that she has become Seijei’s right hand. She usually takes care of Seijei, mostly doing the chores or cooking
Art 7/10
It’s standard, nothing special
Sound 8/10
It has Great voice acting in both English and Japanese (except English Midori who is incredibly annoying with a very high pitched voice). The background music is swelling and fits in perfectly with the scene it’s played in.
Overall 8/10
Midori Days is always sure to leave a smile on your face or bursting with laughter.

Youth is an evil hoax.
I traversed into the show thinking it to be yet another High School Club comedy but Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy WA Machigatteiru or My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU transverses into one lovable show. The quotes Hikigaya Hachiman spouts are very thought producing and may
perhaps show you the wrongs of society.
Story: 9/10
Yahari Ore follows Pessimistic Hikigaya Hachiman where he lives out High School hating the evils of society and thus he lives as a lone. A social club is formed when his teacher forces him and a stone cold beauty and they help those with problems or
...
respond to request. Solving these problems is done well, the Main Characters are not birds of a feather and all have differing solutions. The comedy is mostly taken from sarcasm but Yahari Ore does have hilarious situations. The Romance is handled quite well but in the long haul it really goes nowhere.
Characters 10/10
Yahari Ore’s characters are a strong point producing characters that you’ll probably remember quite well.
Hikigaya Hachiman is a friend-less, pessimistic teen. He has had quite the miserable experience with girls in middle school and when he recalls it he goes and secludes himself even more. He often spouts about the evils within social groups. He does progress and makes friends with those in his social “club”. This character is very relatable if you've been a loner or still are.
Yukino Yukinoshita is the school’s “Ice Cold Beauty” and is incredibly smart. She doesn't have any friends at first. Unlike Hikigaya, she does strive to help the less fortunate.
Yui Yuigihama is a cute, cheery girl with an outgoing look on life. Yui was the first customer and the first new member to join the Social Club. Yui is somewhat popular and is very protective of her friends. She has had a huge crush on Hikigaya for quite some time and plans on confessing to him one day.
Sound 10/10
The voice acting is fantastic, capturing the hate on Hikigaya’s voice but also capturing the thoughtfulness of Yui. The sound score is swell and never that awful to listen to.
Art 9/10
The character designs are done exceedingly well and oddly match the personalities of the characters. The backgrounds are also done amazingly well. The animation is quite smooth save for some instances
Overall it is quite an amazing show with loveable characters and swell portions of comedy. Although don’t solely watch it expecting romance, but the Experience Yahari Ore offers makes up for it.

What do you say about a show with little to no story?
Story: 4/10
Hentai Ouji to Warawanai Neko is a romantic comedy that graduates into a harem later on within the show. The plot is flimsily handled and is not apparent until the middle of the show. This show is mostly focusing on “moe”, which does jumble everything with pointless episodes only for showing the cast of girls. But when there is an episode driven by the story it is handled a lot better, and more interesting, but still quite flimsy.
Characters: 7/10
Mostly the characters are stereotypical such as Tsukiko, the monotone shy love interest or
...
the short “tsundere” blond. The main character is very interesting though. Yokodera is a very perverted teen but has a very odd kindness to him. Unlike in most harems, he is interested in every available girl causing him to get into some major “pervy” situations. The characters although are quite well written and loveable.
Art:10/10
This is the show’s strongest aspect. The character designs are beyond adorable. The backgrounds are quite beautiful to look at. The 3-d models are also handled very well.
Sound: 9/10
The Voice acting is nothing short of fantastical. Ogura Yui, the actor who plays Tsukiko, perfectly captures the monotone voice. The Music is actually enjoyable and is worth listening to.
It ends quite quickly and has a very rushed, awful ending. But for what it’s worth the characters are a treat along with the Art. If you are a “moe” fan you will enjoy this, if not it’s still quite fun to watch.

“I've never seen anyone kick so much ass in my entire life.” - Civilian
Trigun is a little known anime with large potential
Story: The Story progresses along quite smoothly and offers some good suspense with the unpredictability of Vash the Stampede. It’s normally comedic and action packed but touch on serious subjects and hard thought moral dilemmas. It gradually earns some very heartfelt moments and some insane twists.
Characters: Many of the characters are well written especially Vash and The main Villain.
Vash the Stampede is known to be baddest dude in the West, Having a 6 billion dollar bounty on his head. We than
...
learn to find out his bounty is gained from a strain of misunderstandings and people stealing his name. He believes strongly in peace and tries not to kill. He is quite the skirt chaser in many situations. He is a very goofy character but does tense up and become incredibly serious.
Meryl Stryfe and Milly Thompson are two agents of the Insurance Company looking to evaluate cases regarding Vash. Meryl is a more serious character being very independent, and short-tempered. On the other hand Milly is incredibly tall, appearing simple she has a very kind heart and a rather optimistic outlook upon life
Art: The character designs are basic with side characters but Villains and Main characters have incredibly odd but interesting designs. The desert and outpost towns look have a rustic and unique look to them.
The voice acting is swell in Japanese and just as well in English. It does have so great weapon sound effects.
Overall this is a very well made show escalating to have a small following. It is well worth the watch.

Ore no imouto ga konna Ni kawaii wake ga nai is a romantic comedy (Or Oreimo) exceeding in various situations. Oreimo’s plot heavily relies from its characters.
Story: The Story is quite simply early on but evolves into a well written unexpected trip. You will never be sure what is next to come
Characters: Oremio’s characters are fleshed out, most are incredibly well written and generally lovable.
Kyousuke is a generally nice soul helping many around him. He tries to be a supportive brother to Kirino he often bites off more than he can chew to help others. He also becomes somewhat of a heart-throb later in the
...
series.
Kirino is a complete foil to Kyousuke. She’s cold, abusive, and aggressive. She is very interested in Big Brother X Little sister eroge but brushes it to the side claiming only to play it for the Little sisters. As the series goes on she warms up to her brother but when Kyousuke with other women, Kirino often makes it her goal to sabotage. She is surprisingly the best written character in the show. Bitchiness aside, the writers wanted to make her get under your skin, they wanted her to annoy you, and the reveal of why she is that way at the end is very well done.
Manami Tamura is a childhood friend of Kyousuke and also has a large crush on him. Kyousuke and her are swell friends and hang out many times within the show. She is very shy, quiet, and sweet. Manami however is not a well written character, whereas Kirino is intentionally annoying, Manami is just unlikable in some instances. However the ending episodes writing of Manami makes up for all of that resulting in a very surprising way.
Ruri Goko is a “friend” of Kirino, although they constantly get in verbal scuffles. However, both girls genuinely care for each other and value the time they spend together. She wears very gothic clothes even when it is extremely hot.
Saori Makishima is yet another friend of Kirino, helping her become friends with Ruri. She dresses as a stereotypical otaku, but has the body of a supermodel. Despite her general appearance in public, Saori is actually from a wealthy family, and speaks with a formal voice outside of meeting with her friends. She is one of the not very well written characters having little screen time and almost none character development.
Many, MANY characters come in at a later point in time but this is the usual cast.
The Voice acting is done very well, capturing the shyness or hostility in one’s voice. The background music is surprisingly catchy and changes all the time.
The art is above standard and a treat to look at and everything in the show has a high attention to detail.
It is a very odd show, breaking away from the clichés of romantic anime and inserting every type of humor. Kirino may bug you but the end of the show is very well done, also revealing a behind curtains antagonist that has been doing things to achieve their way since the beginning. Overall, It’s fun to watch and is defiantly a must watch.

Sakurasou No pet kanojo
This is personally my favorite anime of all time but don’t worry I won’t fan- boy too much in this review. Sakurasou No pet kanojo is a romantic comedy, rivaling gods such as Toradora and other great romance anime.
Sakurasou is a housing facility were those kicked of an art school dorm live. Sakurasou centers upon the misfits of Sakurasou namely, Sorata Kanda, a teenager kicked out of the dorms for taking in Stray cats. His life changes when a girl named Mashiro Shiina arrives, he than learns she is incapable of taking care of herself and begins to help her
...
with her life
The art style is very creative and a treat to look at. Some portions such as day-dreams or thoughts are drawn with crayons or made with puppets. It has a cutesy style which may turn people off but that entire aside it does not take away from the story
Sakurasou’s writing is very good. The characters are all around loveable. They progress within the story and have amazingly swell character growth. People do get together in the end but the door is still left open for some characters. Sakurasou breaks away from the conventional romantic anime antics.
Verdict: Totally watch this show
