I'm only 28 chapters in, but seeing how this manhwa has no reviews yet or even a score, I wanted to leave a few words for people who find it randomly on MAL.
This manhwa has been an enjoyable 8/10 read, but overall I have to rate it as only 'Good' (7/10). If you want to see a lovable pair of characters interact and build their friendship, give this manhwa a try, it's certainly worth at least checking out a few chapters.
Story 7/10
The story is really simple, the serious top student starts hanging out with the adorable worst student. They gradually grow close, help each other
...
out, and support one another as their backstories come to the surface. Full focus on the main two, any background characters are so far more like plot or comedy devices.
The pacing so far is very good.
Art 8/10
The art is pretty, neat, and endearing. Also full colour, which after reading black-and-white manga is a very pleasant change. Webtoon format also makes it easy to read on phone.
Characters 6/10
The characters are very polarised in terms of quality. The secondary cast is one-dimensional and used like plot and comedy devices more than like actual characters, and many of them can get rather annoying.
The main duo though, despite some clichés, actually feels unique and quite refreshing. They also quickly grow deeper and deeper as they interact and their backstories are explored.
Enjoyment 8/10
This is a simple story that knows what it wants to do and does it well. I'm having a lot of fun reading it and it's difficult to put away. The cute moments are cute, the serious moments are just the right amount of serious to not be jarring with the overall comedic and light-hearted tone of the whole thing. The comedy is... surprisingly the weakest point of this manhwa. I would say that it's more about making the story a lighter read than about actually making you laugh, which isn't a bad thing. The secondary characters are annoying but there isn't that much of them and the main duo makes up for it anyway.
For some reason the English translation Americanised the first names of the characters, so we have Sadie, Xavier, Nathan, etc. and it's really annoying.
So, yeah, it isn't the best thing out there, but it has been fun and I will continue reading.
