Both titles can be defined like something different and fresh. Rotoscopical animation system that makes kinda different and curious. Both animation keep the drama and the mystery with a different way from other titles, making you feel uncomfortable with the situation, and watching the plot develops without understanding anything. But for some reason you can feel that the story you're watching it's alive, can it be, for the animation, for that good script, but you feel inside the animation, you can understand the feelings the characters ar having, and it magic!

Both series have that shy ambientantion, with characters that doesnt show themselves that much, and making you wonder what are they thinking about and how they feel. A show to relax and enjoy a cute history very well told without cliches and fanservice.

Both animations has got that old animation easy to recognize but not for this being worse. They got a space trouble with different civilizations each one with their own culture and custom that makes mistrust between them. The music plays an important role, make the characters evolve, forget the past and continue progressing with their own goals. The ships and the space travels are present in each animation. There is an character in Macross that can remind so much to Stella, with that quiet attitude but sensitive with love.

The Opening and the Ending reminds so much to Ping Pong each with a very characteristic beautiful animation. The fact that The protagonist has got an idol and does the same than him and in some point of the animation he could become better than his hero.
