More foreheads huh?
Ok so In the heart of kunoichi tsbaki was a pretty good show, it was very inconsistent in the middle parts, but overall, a good and enjoyable show.
So, let’s start with the story; we focus on the dog squad, led by tsubaki (mc), and her curiosity on boys. Assuming you read the synopsis, I don’t need to explain how the girls in the village feel about boys. So yeah, we were shown that Tsubaki wants to know more about boy. However, during the middle section in the show, the main focus is shifted to everyday life with the different squads, and tsubaki’s squad
...
mixed in the episode. You can see how the focus changes, and I think that’s where the show dropped in quality. We were led to believe that this show would focus on tsubaki finding out new things about boys, though we are given more stuff on boys throughout the show, it really wasn’t the main focus, the main focus of the show was to show the life of the girls living in the akane clan.
Now that the focus was established, the story is a 7 for me. I feel like this could be classified as slice of life, and I’ll consider it as one, since, like I said main focus of life of the girls. As a slice of life, I feel like this show doesn't Deliver as much as it should have, most of the characters are pretty one dimensional and have a gimmick and that’s all they have. tbh there’s like 20 of them and we’re only given 13 eps, but still, other characters were given depth, so why couldn’t the rest get it? Anyway, that’s all I’ll have to say, since it’s a slice of life, if you want to watch it go.
The characters. Since the story’s mc is tsubaki, we mostly follow the dog squad. All the characters in the dog squad are well developed, and their relationships with each other grow as the show goes on. I really don’t want to go in depth on all the characters, so I’ll just say, the characters that are introduced in the first 4 episodes are the only ones that get good character development. However, each character in each squad does get to shine per episode, so you could say that all are developed and have character.
The other elements like art and sound are pretty good, nothing too outstanding, but gets the job done. The character designs are ninja-like, I guess... and the music is uses traditional Japanese instruments, so that’s cool. Also the fact that the ed in each episode is relative to each squad, and i think it’s an activity log or something, but anyway, that was nice. As for my complaints, not much other that what I said at the start. This show doesn’t shine, but it doesn’t really lack anything, so I give it an 8.
Anyway, this show was a breather for me this season, with all the other animes out there, this one felt relaxing. So, if you want a chill anime, look no further, because this anime delivers. Good anime.

Wow an anime that actually balances comedy and romance perfectly, and has many well-developed characters that aren't the main cast, instant 9.
This anime actually surprised me, because the premise isn't really something new; forbidden love. However, the way they executed it was well done and pretty funny.
So, the story focuses on the hero team Gelato 5 and the villain organization Gekko, like other romcoms with this formula, two people from the opposing sides fall in love, and the show focuses on how they develop as a couple and how they hide it from the public. I don't think this anime focuses on the story, It's
...
more on enjoyment and character development. What elevates this show though, is the pure nonsense put into the world. Take the time where they confess to each other, fudo (male mc) knows about desumi (female mc), who's identity is supposed to be a secret, is through social media, lol. It was just so hilarious and it took me off guard, and that basically sets the tone for the story: a wacky romcom whos humor focuses on romantic situations in a dumb world, and I fucking dig it.
This show provides us with problems, new characters, all the stuff you need for a good story, and pulls it off in a really fun way. The art is nice , I don't remember seeing any drops in quality, and the character designs were cool. The sound, was full of different bgm that really set the mood of the scenes and I think it was pretty good.
The cast is full of interesting people and they all feel good to watch. The main couple bring healing to my soul. Desumi is a really well done character who feels real. Fudo, you could say is kinda one dimensional, and that does take away from the story a bit, how he's a dense dude that only values muscles and Desumi, and doesn't have much to deal with. However, I don't think this was a bad choice, as (imo) the show is really about Desumi, how being with fudo change her is a theme throughout the show. So, the fact that fudo doesn't have his own problems, all stem from their relationship, is not the worse choice. I do still think that they could've given him problems for desumi to fix, but to be fair, with the given amount of episodes, I don't think that was possible. Next, it the rest of the gelato 5, they also are pretty 1 dimensional and have one character trait that they stick with, but as I said, the show doesn't really focus on fudo the characters of the gelato 5 don't really matter as much. Then there is the princess series (basically the rest of the teenage girls who are in gekko), their characters are really nice to watch and feel real. How the show introduces new princesses and builds on the already existing princesses was really a treat to watch, not something you'd expect from an anime that centralizes on "dumb" humor. Lastly, there is the families of the main couple, and they seem to achieve their purpose, as problems/new friends and stuff.
This show was a blast and I can see people not liking this show, as both the comedy and romance aren't what you'd see in other shows of those respective genres. However, all I'll say is give this show a chance, the quality of each episode is really consistent, so watching the first few episodes can really give a feel for the show. I really enjoyed this show and would totally recommend it to people who like "dumb" humor, and yeah that's all. Great anime.

RULES OF NATURE
(if you get it, you a homie, if you don'tn that's fine)
Ok so skeleton knight was my isekai trash of this season (I didn't watch much this time), and if I can sum it up in one word, mid.
I really don't usually enjoy op mc animes, but some I can make exceptions. Anyway, (imo) the main purpose of an op mc is enjoyment, the satisfaction of seeing the mc whoop the villains asses is glorious at times, but generally, boring, this is one of those cases. I also don't like "dark" animes, this anime seems to have ventured into some dark themes,
...
but all it adds is shock factor and later more satisfaction when mc brings justice of some shit. Some things I can say that make this anime watchable is the action (sometimes), random isekai stuff, maybe the world building and its size, and boobs.
So, the story is very basic and mid, your classic isekai with an op mc saving some people and learning abut the world. He meets people and helps his new friend to free the elves, because that's the mains problem in this show. That's basically the plot, missing some other stuff with ninjas, but that's what's bad, it evolves from elf trafficking to corrupt country stuff. And the worse part is, that they could've shown the sheer scale of this trafficing thing, but no, only introduce it at the start of the episode, where most likely, the conflict will end (thanks op mc). That is most of my opinion on the story.
The characters aren't any better, Arc (mc) is only an op guy, with a sense of justice, and revolves around being fascinated by the fantasy world. Ariane, is the elf who shows him the world and blah blah blah. Who is angry about elf and human problems, and her whole character is her hate for humans and disbelief in the idea of peace. So, the logical choice would be to let Arc show her the goodness of humans, but NOPE, Arc is a skeleton (did I mention that), so he's different and more excuses that Ariane uses to justify her hate even more. Than there's the ninjas, who are just so poorly executed. So, they are mysterious and appear in the middle of battle, maybe they (ninjas and mc) share a common goal, maybe they're opposing our heroes, but nah, they just disappear and reappear later. Main ninja joins later for missions, because.....convenience, the writers didn't know how to write her as a part of the main cast, idk. Anyway that's the most I can do without spoilers.
Other aspects of the show like the sound, was pretty good, it felt fantasy-like, though it's just "basic fantasy bgm", but yeah, one of the bgm I actually remember.
The art is, ehhh, it's good at times, but sometimes the cg is just not good, it still works though. The comedy, *sigh* the comedy is your generic "omg mc is strong", girls being angry/cute and shit like that, and Ponta (the pet) doing random stuff.
So in defense of this show, it works, the action, story, and character development is pretty balanced (doesn't mean it's good though). The world building is pretty decent, as the actions can lead to bigger stuff, so that was good ig. Oh yeah the fanservice. Also any show that I finish is an instant 6, as long as it doesn't bore me, it reached the 6 mark for me.
Still though, imagine how much better this show would be if they actually explored the skeleton part in skeleton knight. Like maybe made him get caught doing stuff and him having to prove himself as a respectable person in society. However, the path they took, no interaction with other people, mostly travel and killing. So, failed opportunity imo.
So, should you watch this show, maybe, if you like isekai fantasy stuff and maybe "dark" themes idk, watch the first few episodes, they really give a feel for the show. Trust me the formula doesn't change, the scale just gets bigger. Decent show.

Pretty good show ruined by a nasty ending.
Ok rikekoi 2 started off pretty good actually, since there's no exposition needed, and we know the bullshit these characters do on a regular basis. Those who watch this season should expect more. And we get more, more wacky shenanigans about science and love, and I semi dig it. However, BRUH the last episode.
So, the story is kinda bad in general, the premise of the story doesn't make sense (even in the first season), but we all know why came to this show, to see some smart yet stupid people find their love for each other. The
...
show delivered, their moments were really satisfying and the way they interact with the people around them makes this a pretty good show. BUT THE ENDING....
The characters pretty much remain the same in the first season, the main couple's only development is towards each other, and the rest of the cast get good development. Yukimura is dense and logical, and Himuro is logical, but knows how to act like a normal person, and that's just made clearer in this season. Kouske and Ibarada have nice development, Ibarada gets a nice character moment, and actually admits to liking Kouske. While Kouske remains the same, it's actually kind of annoying, how he can't believe that he likes anyone other than Aika, but yeah that feeling is still there and he acknowledges it. The professor and the manga artist remain the same, or rather we're given new developments that already inline with their established character. Also, we're introduced to other characters who are Yukimura's student, and other couples. The other couple are just there to show us and the characters more romcom stuff, and Yukimura's student's character is very good for this show's standards. Ok last is Kanade, I mean I get the problem the show is trying to portray, but damn was it handled like trash.
**SPOILER TIME** (Just skip over the spoiler section if you don't want to get spoiled)
Oh my God, Kanade being "not normal" is a nice character problem to give to her, since before she was just there and didn't have anything going on with her. So it makes sense that she has this problem, and now that I think about it yeah this was really a good call, she was kinda bland to me at first. However, the fact that this was all an act, really raised my opinion on this show and really developed her character. So when it was her character arc, it was pretty good at first, it climaxed (what I want to believe) when Yukimura called her out. This was the perfect opportunity for her to accept her flaws and try to build a relationship made on her actual personality, BUT NOPE what we got was her falling deeper into despair and ultimately facing the consequences. I mean okay, I wondered how they would make her accept and change in one episode, maybe even accept her past and stuff like that, however, a GANG!? wtf. And of course, Yukimura comes in and saves her ass and other science bs. Still though, gotta be honest, they HAD to pull the twist that he's (kanade's partner at the time, I don't remember his name) an evil scum. Like WHAT THE HELL, to be fair even if he wasn't kanade did lead him on. Imagine how much better it would be if the last 3 episodes were her living a healthy life and confronting everyone, like her old teacher, her family, and her boyfriend. But nah, we gotta let kanade get captured and get saved by the powerpoint master. Alright rant over.
**SPOILER OVER**
Anyways, the rest of the elements like the art and the sound track were great, I really don't remember the ost coming in, but the op and ed slap.
So my complaints for this is that some stuff really gets repetitive and kinda cliché at times. Look I really don't know how to express this, but the show was just overall an 8. However there was the ending, so a 7.
Final thoughts: So, this show was a ride, we got to see some amazing couple developments in the main couple's side and also with the other characters, especially the others. Only held back by its repetitiveness and ending. But overall, a decent anime, what a season 2 should be, apart from some stuff. So yeah, good anime if you just don't watch the ending.

hot take: fanservice is good
Alright, I mean this show was controversy 101 for the non-anime community, but past the "problematic" fanservice, this show is actually pretty good.
Ok so My dress up darling is a show about dressing up, not really though. It may seems that way, since the shows main plot focuses on the cosplays and the people you meet along the way, but at it's core, the show is about experiencing new things, or changing because of someone (as evident in ep 12).
The art HAS to be good, I mean have you seen the booba physics, and the sound really encapsulates the moment
...
the characters are in.
The plot, mc is anti-social, but he has a dream, which he was ridiculed for (idk what word to use), so he thought that others would do the same. However, best girl of the season finds out, and doesn't care. So yeah, the plot focuses on these two and cosplaying and stuff, but the truly powerful and meaningful episodes are when cosplaying isn't the main focus of the episode. The slice of life episodes of the two of them hanging out is what elevates this anime, the before anti-social mc is now trying new things because of best girl, and he's happy. (note how I didn't really touch on the cosplay stuff, because the cosplay is just a plot point to let them see each other, meet new people and put them in "nice" situations)
The characters don't really have much depth, but that's the charm, they're simple. Mc Gojo is a simple case of introverted who changes overtime and we love to see his development as a character. His defining trait is to protect the dream of others, to avoid them feeling what he did when his dream was ridiculed. Next is best girl Marin, she seems one dimensional, an outgoing gal who isn't embarrassed of anything, but as the show goes on we see that she does feel conscious and that she has another side to her that Gojo brings out. So yeah, they play off each other, bringing more out of them that even they didn't realize was there. Next is the side characters who are just there, to serve as guidance of someone to guide. Granpa, gives comedic situations, while serving as a source of wisdom. Juju is a source of techniques and a more professional look into cosplaying. And Sajuna is someone whos dream needs to be realized. Overall, good cast, great interactions and just fun to look at.
My only real complaint is the fact that mc helps build other peoples dreams up, but his dream is just casually mentioned and referenced throughout the series. Maybe there should have been an episode where he has a conflict between helping in cosplay and painting dolls (his dream), this would make the show feel more real and have more emotional depth to it. But alas, he just paints his dolls in the sideline, though it is stated that he got better, it doesn't feel like natural progression.
( really minor spoiler just skip this line: ok so he gets better because he did cosplay, but ehh it don't feel right, the progression of his dreams aligns with a totally different thing, idk it would be more interesting if he didn't imo)
Ok so overall this show is relaxing and a good escape, and if you want fanservice along the way, then good for you. Though plot points could be better, this show manages to perform greatly.

Oh my geez, this show is puts a nice spin into the standard adventure theme, and it nails it.
I first discovered this show, because I was mad that Mushoku Tensei wasn't the top rated anime of Fall 2021, but when I watched it, I didn't regret it.
I think if you're here, you've already watched some videos on this show, about the first 2 episodes, yes the first 2 episodes hit on an emotional level and they introduce the characters in a really nice way. I'll say this, in terms of character introduction, this show is one of the best, since most of their character
...
comes from what already happened, so you feel for them in the moments, and they don't have to prove themselves to be understood. However, this doesn't mean that they don't grow from when they are introduced, no, they still grow through the interactions and such, but just not as much as we see when they are introduced.
(assuming you've read the synopsis)
The story is a classic adventure, where we're introduced to the weak mc who has to work his way up, but here's the twist, he already is at the top with allies who would fight for him. But they are hollow, wanting more, wavering loyalty, doubt, everyone treats Bojji like he is wear (which he is at the moment). Overshadowed by his younger brother, he sets on a journey, with people who are loyal to him. He trains and becomes strong. I can't say much without spoiling, but his journey was amazing. Plus you guys can binge this, unlike me who had to wait at 2am every week for this show. People say it has lost it's charm from the earlier episodes, but the show has just shifted from emotional expositions, to a great adventure. My only complaints are the plot holes and how the world works,(it's a fantasy so it's okay ig).
The characters, like I said get their major development in their introductions, but there are growth for most characters who change from how they were introduced, and attain new goals. They are simple at glance, but are each dealing with something deeper. Also can't say much, but the characters are great.
The art fits the theme of a storybook adventure and the music fits the theme so well, also Hadaka no Yusha is the best op of winter don't @ me.
All in all, this show is immaculate, it's very good at the story it tells, and I'd love to see more of it. Amazing show.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH DIS SHOW FUNI!11!1!1!!1!1!
Look man, this show is mid, it doesn't do anything well, but bit also doesn't do anything noticeably bad.
Basically this show is just boring tbh, it's about a girl who dies and got isekai'ed to a game. She's basically one of the gods in this game and is just down right op. So yeah, I'm not really a fan of super op people who don't face any challenge. "Oh but there were times she had trouble" no, just no.
The comedy boils down to "haha mc op, everyone around her surprised" and "ehhhhh!?" So yeah not my cup of tea. The background music
...
isn't really noticable so an 8 should be fair, the art admittedly, is poretry good.
So the plot is a slice of life showing MCs overpoweredness, gaining companions that have 0 relevance. Though it ends in a nice wholesome way, I can't ignore all the abandonment of the "main goal" (collecting all the towers). Anyway, this show had potential, the fact that there are other players and that she had a past life could've been good plot points to explore, but nope.
Characters are mid, there isn't much depth, but they allk have unique personalities and feel pretty fresh to watch.
Anyway yeah, this show is mid. Still don't known why I finished this over serei gensouki

The last episode was actually just perfect.
So 86 is an amazing show, it nails action, character and story. Look, I can't stress enough how well this show was handled, so let's try.
The visuals and bgm, amazing, the fact that the ed sequence is just a vague landscape of something that relates to the episode. So yeah, these two points were done amazingly.
The story is just, wow, the change is setting feels so natural, and necessary for the characters. The fact that they experience how it's like to have a life, so yeah, nice change of pace. I can't really say much about it, without
...
spoiling, but watch it, now. Character development was done in a really natural way. This show is just, just...
Anyway, my only real complaint, is not enough Lena, though I get why, it's just there's no waifu moments..
So yeah, watch this season, you won't regret it, and won't have to wait (unlike us).

***THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS***
Just watch the first half, thank me later. The first half actually follows the premise; a slow life romance, with some cool moments here and there. And then the second half just goes to flames. I get what they were trying to do, but the execution was just garbage.
So the plot is basically, as the tittle says, slow life. It actually does a good job in handling that, mc living with his wife, just having fun and sometimes, being a hero in secret. As the story goes on, his past catches up to him as he has to do more and more
...
hero stuff. BUT THEN HERE COMES THE SECOND HALF. His past catches up to him, and now he's basically back to being a hero, nothing too bad. The first act as a hero was done fairly okay, it was well developed and had moderate pacing. However, it was a bit uncomfortable seeing the center of the conflict being kids, and random character popping out of no where, but okay ig. Then the second act was just collision of plot points, that weren't even developed, only stated once or even never. Everyone is here, and now it's just too much to handle, and it's just done so poorly. We don't get any hints or time to unpack the plot; "slow life" remember?
The characters are so so, some are done good and some are just garbage. MC actually has decent to no development, the only development he gets is his romance development, but other than that, nothing. He remains the same perfect guy as he always is, in flashbacks and now (note: I'm saying perfect, because he is, he isn't the strongest person, but he's mc material). Next it Rit, also little to no development, she just becomes red's wife ig. Ruti was actually done pretty well, though kinda cliché at times, her growth as a person was well-written. Then there's Ares, actually a decent portrayal to a decent into madness, just a crazy guy, that's all. Tisse was a good friend, and that's about it, nicely written friend. Last is the rest of the cast, which just appear out of nowhere, ulterior motives and important events? not even hinted at, just all handled poorly.
I get the theme of the show "Don't let other people (the gods) decide your life, you get to live how you want to". However, the bad writing and random plot bullcrap weigh it down so much, the only saving grace of this show is the actual slow life. Decent anime

Loli? No, shortstack
This is a very real and nice romcom to relax to. It's a wholesome slice of life that portrays the everyday life of a kohai and her senpai, the best couple of the season and the oneesan tag.
The plot mainly focuses on the 3 things I just listed above, it gives us great character development and brings a wholesome conclusion each episode. The show feels fresh and full of motion in every episode. It's just a really good show if you want a relaxing experience that doesn't bring much tension or suspense, but still feels natural.
The characters are just a treat
...
to watch, especially when they are together. We have the main couple; Futaba and Takeda (by now their height difference doesn't even matter, I just got used to it, and you will to after watching this show), they have a senpai kouhai relationship and it's really wholesome to watch, since most of the things he does are similar to things you'd to when you're a couple. The one sided love is pretty funny, it's not sad, because he actually cares and respects her, and this is evident throughout the series. Overall, a great experience to watch. Next is where most of the romance tag is shown, Kazama and Sakurai, their development as a couple feels really natural and is given ample time to develop. Honestly, it's more fun to watch them as couple, than the main couple (let's be honest, the main "couple" doesn't feel like a couple). Their interactions are so wholesome and give life to the show. The there is the next main cast, Yuuto and Nastumi, they're brought together by mutual friends and their relationship is really fun and inspiring. The way they interact and the fact that they don't deviate from their personalities, since we are shown their personalities from flashbacks or individual moments, is a really nice touch. Last are all the side characters, Best girl, grandpa and the background boys, the fact that they just appear out of nowhere, is just hilarious. The way they indirectly make the 2 couples closer is done in a very natural way, that's good writing!
However, this show does have it's fair share of flaws, like the imbalance in developments and not just in one hyper-focused episode. All I'm saying is that there was SO much opportunities to develop the main couple throughout the show, whether it being slight changes in expression or just straight up deeper conversation. Some say that the second couple got all the attention, I agree and disagree. On one hand, yes they did, in their episodes, they could've added a small skit of the main couple doing something. On the other hand, like I said, the second couple are where the romance tag really shines, and it's was a bad thing watching such a sweet and wholesome experience. So yeah, I would've wanted the show to balance the emphasis on their development and colleges and as a couple in each episode.
So basically, if you want good romance and comedy, look no further, we have it all here: good story, great characters and wholesome interactions. Great anime. Also Mona best girl, SIBERIA RULES
