Personal bias aside; it's a show that's not really going anywhere for a few episodes. The show is nowhere close to the games. If you can look past those two things, you'll enjoy this as it's own thing.
The show's themes mostly tackle humanity and what makes someone human. Don't worry there is plenty of actions and fighting. An annoying young girl that sounds like Amy Rose kind of kills it. However the other characters are decent and with how they play off of each other.

Besides the budget of the show with the visuals of the show looking fine, the animation being fine but the writing, my goodness I love the writing. I love the twist and turns it took with it's characters and characterizations of them. Mind you the show is a lot less horror (for the most part) and much more depressing is the best way of putting it, more sad than horror.

Okay look this isn't going to be sugar coated it. It has predictable writing, predictable tropes, the pacing is garbage, characters that are a dime a dozen minus the main character. The writing is basically trash and the plot could use a lot of work. That being said; I only recommend this if you like the humor with him wanting to kill himself and him actively trying to do so.

No obese men maybe an overweight guy for a short amount of time. Gets straight to the point, get straight to the character goal and story with keeping it simple. A straight forward characterization. A lot of different sex positions and some creative use for the magic.

The story pacing is tight, not too fast but should've been a bit slower. The story is 150 pages long but feels shorter than that. The art is good and matches the story. Has a lot of wholesome moments. A great slice of life and goal for the story with the events that set this off into motion. The exposition kind of kills the pacing and isn't needed; you don't need the most obvious parts of the story explained which is that the people infected by said parasites are physically changed and mentally changed. That was already showed with the before and after with the parasite.

It has a good compelling story, has multiple elements within the story tie back together with the characters. The world building gets fleshed out a little bit like with the fact Elves use wind spirits for their great mobility. Both of the characters play off of each other quite well with their personalities.
