Okay. I have really mixed feelings about this anime. I have been watching this almost weekly for a long time (though recently i got fed up and stopped watching until the last set of manga canon episodes). I can see why the hate is there but to be honest it can be a little unjustified at times. Quite frankly, Boruto, as a story, I really enjoy. And by the story, I mean only the manga canon stuff. The reason this show gets a lot of hate is that there was so, so much waiting for the good stuff, the manga canon arcs to come along, ... and when they did, it would be for at max, 15 episodes, at minimum, 2. After that you get at least half a year to a whole year of irrelevant, boring filler or anime canon.

If I were to give advice to anyone who wants to get into Boruto, just read the manga, and if you really want to watch the anime, have a filler list up and only watch the manga canon episodes. Because believe me, the manga canon episodes have great quality, animation and you can actually engage with the episode, rather than essentially running it in the background. Even on those episodes, people often make fun of the anime due to its awful reputation.
