Kuttsukiboshi is the most unique yuri anime I've ever stumbled across, so much so that I have mixed feelings over it.
Story: 6
This short OVA stands out from the rest for its sci-fi aspects, seeing as our MC Kiiko has developed minor telekinesis. Cool right? However this isnt really the focus of the anime, but more the catalyst of the romance and the grand finale. I feel like this aspect could have been touched upon more often to up the anti of the romance and drama.
Art: 8
The art style was very refreshing in my opinion, nothing too magnificent yet subtly elegant. The art really suits the
...
moof of the anime well I think.
Sound: 9
Very pleased with the soundtrack, kept the highs enjoyable and the lows inescapable. Also love how the ed music blends into the animation.
Characters: 4
The biggest downfall of this anime. Both Kiiko and Aaya are barely relatable as they dont seem to possess standard human emotion. (Unlike many other yuri characters from various other anime.) Aaya is, ehem... crazy, in some respects, whereas Kiiko on the other hand is as dense as a brick. Despite these girls being clearly retarded, they work verrrry well together. Somethin about them clicks in a way thats delightful to watch.
Enjoyment: 10
Wow really? A ten even with all that being said? Funny enough I was immensely moved by this anime, the drama was top-notch, each scene being heart-wrenchingly beautiful, and the ending was enough to bring a tear to my eye.
Overall: 7
I cant find it in my heart to like the characters or the incoherence within the plot, but the quality and enjoyment were unlike anything Ive ever seen thus earning this rating. I'd recommend this OVA to yuri fans for the experience alone, but to anyone else it's probably not worth your time.

I only ever found a few gems within the anime world... Kimi no Na wa shines the brightest of all of them.
(Yes, this is completely spoiler-free, I barely even discuss what happens)

Makoto Shinkai has brought us yet another masterpiece, this one especially taking the stage and stealing 1st place on MAL, and my god does it need to be here. I don't know how many shonen series I've seen floating around the top anime that lack a real sense of emotion and deep meaning, however Kimi no Na wa not only fills those critical holes in the anime world, but is on a whole other level of entertainment. I cant even seem to find a single film that compares.
Why is it so good though?
This movie is for everyone, young or old, boy or girl, action or romance, none of this matters as this movie will appeal to every demographic with it's hyper-realistic nature and moving storyline.
The unexpected is really what lunged this anime further up than Shinkai's other works. You thought Garden of Words was good? You believe 5 centimeters per second nailed it? They're 9's in comparison to Kimi no Na wa's story and attention to detail.
I will say it right now, this is not my all-time favorite anime, but that's only for personal reasons. I respect this movie too much to give it any less than I have, only the characters didn't suit my acquired taste, but hey that's nothing big really, they're still undoubtedly incredible and work too well with one another.
Please for the love of god, watch this anime and give it a 10. The new members of the anime community HAVE to see this anime, regardless on their interests, it's like the old classics Death Note, Steins;Gate or FullMetal - Sure not everyone will love them, but they have to try it to truly understand how beautiful anime can be.
Makoto Shinkai I take my hat off to you, Sir.
May your work forever remain as tantalizingly beautiful as ever, a treat for all to enjoy and soak in it's unique, untouchable glory.

Probably the best shoujo ai manga out there, Fragtime tells the story of two lovers who stop time together to escape reality and deepen their relationship. For anyone who isn't a yuri/shoujo ai fan, dont feel offput by this as the storyline and unique characters will make up for it. This is a good read for everyone regardless their preferences in manga.
Story: 9
With the ability to stop time, theres a lot of potential for needless fanservice and moeblob panel fillups, however Sato stuck to what was important and kept the story intriguing, while still allowing a few cute scenes. My only problem with the storyline
...
is the overall length of it, I felt as though more could be expanded upon in certain areas
Art: 8
The art doesn't stand out too much here, but it's still smoothly laid out and appealing to the eye, perhaps some larger more detailed artwork would have been better
Characters: 10
The girls you get to know within Fragtime have fluent and realistic personalities while remaining unique in their own ways. I personally was able to relate to Moritani, and I think with a widespread set of character personalities others will be able to relate with the other characters too :)
Enjoyment: 10
Fragtime will stand out for me as one of the most enjoyable manga I've read, everything from start to finish was an emotional rollercoaster that leaves the reader satisfied yet wanting more. This kind of enjoyable atmosphere is what a Mangaka should strive to create!
All in all, Fragtime is a beautifully done quick read that deserves more attention from the wider community. If ever a translated paperback is sold, I want it x3

This one-shot is difficult to describe, because it's unlike most manga I've come across.
While there seems to be no backstory, or much storyline in itself, from the conversation, confessions and apologies these girls pour out in only 20 pages you get an in-depth knowledge of their personalities and relationships. While the story seems to by completely dialogue driven, the art is quite well done, and some panels are really emotional given you barely know what's going on. For sure, it's one you'll have to read a few times to fully grasp, but that's what makes Truth interesting! Not bad but not really great either
