Honestly one of my favorite animes of all time.
Before I write my review on what I think of the anime, I have to mention I have not read the manga and from what I'm seeing a lot from people is the heavy emphasis on "but uh the manga" which I get it, it's upsetting when something you enjoy is say made into a movie/musical/tv show/etc but all because it goes a different direction doesn't automatically make it bad.

That being said, the second season of tokyo ghoul is a masterpiece that strays off from the manga. There are honestly no dull points and there's always something ... going on in this ghoulish universe. Some of the plot doesn't make a large amount of sense and it's understandable why that might be off putting for some people who like to deep dive into what the story is about, why the characters are doing what they're doing, and as said earlier, the sense it makes. Regardless, this is a perfect anime for someone who may not want to think too heavily and would instead rather see a story unfold of a once shy and good-natured person become one of the most feared ghouls of all time.

Usually I can overlook the fanservice model that a large sum of animes like to incorporate into their art, but this show takes it to a new level and it's honestly appalling to me. The premise of the anime to the point where I stopped watching, is that a brother and sister combo are the best gamers in the human world and ultimately get transported to a new world. Sounds like a fun idea, but the direction the show takes is just shoving nudity down your throats, including the 11 year old sister.
Roughly my review boils down to if you're a pedo, you'll like this ... show, if not, you wont.
