Tl/Dr at the bottom
DC3 is a celebratory one shot created by the people who brought us the promised never land, marking its 5th anniversary. Although this one shot wasn't able to live up to the high expectations TPN set for it, there still were a couple of things to look forward to.
I'll try to keep this review succinct as there isn't much to talk about. The story is set in the imminent future, where robots are a normality, however the premise
...
is a bit farfetched and too mediocre to make it an interesting read. The characters are also pretty bland, but of course there isn't much room for character development in a one shot (although there was a little bit in this one). I'd say the biggest positive in this one shot was the art - it stayed consistent throughout and was always top notch. One major issue with it is that I think although there were some nice twists, it was missing the sad, emotional ending that could've made it a pretty nice one shot that stood out (once you read it, you'll understand what im talking about)
All in all it wasn't a huge dissapointment, but not exactly worthwhile either. If a futuristic one shot about robots and a middle school girl being targeted by practically everyone is up your alley, then be sure to give this one a shot, and even if it isn't, im not gonna try to stop you because its only 51 pages long, and you never know, you might find the experience very enjoyable.

Personally, I haven’t read a wide range of manga, but I’ve read enough to determine how pathetically generic this is. All it took was a couple of chapters, and since then it’s continued to go on a steep decline. There’s always a chance that it could improve in the future however judging on the path it’s going, it looks like this will only worsen.
Story - 3
Mediocre af, seems like the mangaka doesn’t understand what plagiarism is, because I would say 90% of the plot so far is taken from other big names.
Art - 6
The art is alright it but there’s nothing special about it, the
...
characters mainly have a bland art style and the couple of fight scenes so far have been quite badly illustrated. The one main positive I saw, was that the magic effects looked kinda cool, but that alone can’t make up for the rest of the art.
Character - 3
Typical OP mc ;-;. As if that wasn’t bad enough, he also has literally no emotion. He’s always expressionless and the aura he’s supposed to give is a badass one, yet the mangaka failed miserably in portraying that. The rest of the characters are also completely 2D and aren’t even worth talking about.
Enjoyment - 5
I know I’ve made it sound completely and utterly trash, (which it is) but each chapter I’ve been anticipating, well not exactly, more like hoping something special/unique/cool happens which is pretty much the only thing that drives me to continue reading this. (Oh yeah, and maybe future encounters with the girls)
Overall - 5
Considering there are only 6 chapters translated so far, I wouldn’t completely encourage you to ignore it, because it’s not my job to drive away potential viewers. The manga has only 6 chapters translated so far so isn’t a massive waste of time if you don’t end up liking it. However, if you’re not one for the OP mc who doesn’t know what smiling or crying is and has a special ‘skill’ which results to inconceivable power and a harem, this might not be for you. I’m certainly hoping for this to improve, but as I stated before, there’s next to no chance of that happening.

This is my first review, and I know it won’t necessarily be that great, but considering this series is yet to have any reviews, I thought I’d try one out. As of the time that I have written this review, only 8 chapters have been translated. This is a gag manga that is by no means unique but nevertheless still enjoyable.
Story: 7
The story is a pretty generic forbidden love one, where the 2 mcs are forced to put up a facade whenever they are around each other in public. And ofcourse like usual, one keeps fking up and they are put into many sticky
...
situations. Although it’s a very basic and overused plot, unlike most romcom gag mangas, this already has a lot of relationship development inside the first 8 chapters which is a big positive.
Art: 8
The 2 main characters are very well drawn out and at first I thought the art was very good, but was then very confused to see that no effort was put into a fair few panels. Every few pages, a panel pops up that literally uses stick figures. The lack of detail is in complete contrast with the art style predominantly used and is a major letdown.
Characters: 7
On the whole, the characters are clichéd, the overly serious policewoman and the love-struck yakuza leader. As expected, with the short chapter sizes, there is also no room for any character development, however that could changed in the upcoming chapters. Despite the character tropes, their personalities suit the lighthearted romcom very well and create a nice mood. As of yet, there has been no development on any of the side characters most of which are completely irrelevant but that is subject to change.
Enjoyment: 8
I must say that although it was a very generic storyline, it was also very refreshing and a nice short read. The characters, although polar opposites seem to suit each other quite well with their strict personalities and the speed of relationship development is such that you get lots of action unlike most of the romcoms that are extremely frustrating for the readers. Another reason why it’s enjoyable is because it doesn’t beat around the bush, with both characters being straightforward and conveying their feelings rather easily.
Overall: 7
Since there have only been 8 chapters, it would be quite hard for this to achieve a high rating and I believe so far it’s done very well. It’s by no means a groundbreaker, but a very solid romcom with lots of potential. It’s a quick read that’s worth your time, so I would definitely recommend it. Even if you find it’s not to your taste, it’s quite short so not much of your time would be wasted.
