Baby Steps

I liken Yukio a lot to Maruo, the protagonist from the series Baby Steps. Each character merely sleepwalks through life, without a passion or something meaningful driving their day, but throughout the story they pick up and hobby to act as a catalyst for their passion and as a result their life changes for the better. Essentially, both Baby steps and Beck are about young people gaining a passion in something and having their lives change positively as a result.
