You always have to be careful when taking in a squeal.
You can either be ecstatic or really disappointed which is why I am always hesitant if i only liked the anime.
I was surprised that I liked the second season more than the first.
I found that they did not repeat plot and the characters actually developed but, did not loose key personality traits.
They did sometimes switch to 3D animation but not to the point where it became a pain. The action sequences did improve. They added more detail but not to the point where you dont know where to look.

This is a great anime.
I think it is very underrated. Although it seems to be a normal teacher-student romance it is very deep. I think that the synopsis sells it short. The art was iffy at times but it was easily made up for in content. Any OVA can have small issues but this had those mostly weeded out. The characters were well developed which is hard to do in an anime this short but it was done wonderfully.
