-Light Spoilers Ahead-
If I had to describe Carole & Tuesday in 10 words or less, it'd be "Ivanka Trump teams up with Nicaraguan refugee to produce R&B."
I don't care for long, 12 paragraph reviews that attempt to explain an entire show in the time you could just watch the first episode, so I'll keep it concise.
The politics of Mars are portrayed rather prominently throughout the show, but are comparatively superficial, not that such a thing should be a surprise in a music anime. The characters all are likable and their development was, for the most part, well-done, with nice pacing that did not feel rushed.
...
It felt like the characters had real reason to develop as they did, and were not all just changed by "sudden revelations".
The music itself, which is the focal point of the show, is heartwarming if less than original, and even for someone less than keen on the genre of music as a whole, I couldn't help but find a few new tracks for my playlist. It fulfills the expectations one would have in a music anime, with common references and allusions to real-life musicians and singers giving it a leg up for those musically inclined viewers (I am not among them).
9/10, with the primary critiques being superficiality in world-building and one-off characters that receive oodles of development only to never play a prominent role in the show again.
