Both mangas tell a story about a boy in love with his friend for couple of years and trying to make the other one return his feelings. They also have a similar artline and even characters, both in personalities and looks.

Both anime based on games. They tell a story about a cute, innocent girl, a boy with the urge to be strong and protect her, a mysterious bishie, a journey and our average RPG action.

Same creator, but not same awesomeness. Secrets, festivals, mysterious killings, legends and innocent school life are the things connecting those two series. If you liked one you might like the other, but Higurashi is much, much better.

Kimi ni Todoke

A story about a girl who everyone is afraid of. Sunako and Sadako have mainly different characters and different reasons for being scary, but both, deep in their hearts, are really good girls and can be cute when try. Also, they adore the biggest bishounen and happen to interact with them in various ways. Those are so far the only similarities I've noticed. The story goes on in a totally different way.

The atmosphere in both animes isn't very much alike, but they do have some stuff in common. First of all, a young, pretty character having cat-like ears with lost memories suddenly coming into a relationship with a handsome stranger. They both focus on relatioships, their hardships and, most of all, looking for the only one person to love. This is often mentioned in these two series. They are both very touching, funny at times and romantic.

Simply: both are love-comedies with a lot of bishies. Main female characters are not very much alike, but they both only have one parent, are commoners, stubborn, nice and brave. Imo, OHSHC is still better.

Same pretty art style, romantic content and some similiarities in characters. Higashi no Eden is more deep, telling about changing the world, while Honey and Clover is lighter, more of a romance and focused mostly on relationships and pshychological aspects of love.

Psychological, very deep. Turns you into a philosophic mode and make you think of life. If you like anime with deeper meaning than you will like both. Ef has no mecha or fights, but much better art and faster action.

Both tell a story about a a cinderella-type, cooking and cleaning loving girl with an evil aura, in a land of bishounens. Both are really good romance-comedies, though SB! is more of a romance and YNSH more of a comedy.

Both are nonsensical with odd characters and most of all: extremelly funny! Contrary to Zetsubou Sensei, in YNSH there's one girl surrounded by boys.
