Story 6/10: The storyline is not the most creative, I started reading expecting some crazy plot twists but at the end it’s all very predictable. Since the ML is an idol and doesn’t live a normal life, it’s interesting to see how his fame affects the plot. Unfortunately most plot points are solved without going in depth. If you like realistic slice of life stories, goofy faces and a real slow burn, this is the one for you!
I started After School Lessons for Unripe Apples to fill the hole that Cheese in the Trap left in my heart, and it doesn’t disappoint. The plot takes a while to unravel but it still manages to be engaging. The characters’ life as they go through their last year of middle school is believable and relatable, with undone homework, bad grades, not-so-understanding parents, and the late 90’s make a great background.
