The anime of youth where everything seems to be geared against the characters no matter how hard they try, they can never seem to get to the top/what they want. Even trying their best does not seem to be enough and that is basically the theme of this anime.
The anime is overall a slice of life with some comedic elements, and some romance near the end.
Basically the main character, Sorata at first glance didn't want to stay at Sakura Hall. As time progresses he realizes that the time he has spent together with his friends at Sakura Hall meant something special to him.

Currently I am re watching the anime's director's cut and it is just as good as I have remembered it. Although my first time feelings for watching it are gone, it is still just a really enjoyable anime to watch.
The first few episodes had a very good start as it brings you into the mystery of what is happening and all the things that our main character, Subaru had to experience without anything granted to him when he was starting life in another world. Based off of what he has experienced, the way the anime presents itself just makes you want to know what happens ... |
