This is a story for people who have been grieving, people who had to see their loved ones grow old and die, people who feel the passage of time around them and who noticed too late that they maybe didn't know all there was to know about their loved ones.
If any of this applies to you, you will rarely see an anime that understands those feelings as well as Sousou no Frieren.
While the main plot seems heavy in theory, it is rather lighthearted in execution. We get to see the main character make new friends and connections just as much as we see
...
her thinking about the past. There is even the occasional, well-timed, comic-relief.
Whiile the series is slow, it did not get boring. The deeper themes keep it interesting so far.
Art and Animation, Soundtrack and Characters are all very good.

This is a one-shot a world where mages from another world have once build a moon and destroyed the civilization with it. Therefore all mages must be killed.
When a young girl named Mari is suddenly transported into this world, and is to be killed like all the oher mages, we find out that not everything is as it seems.
While the story is at first glance rather dark (there being people killed and everything), the manga retains a somewhat lighthearted tone, which I liked. Even though there was only one chapter, I was rather invested in finding out more about the world and the charaters.
The
...
concept is really interesting, I enjoyed the chapter a great deal. Too bad, it wasn't serialized.

There are a lot of differing opinions about this anime. So much so, that by reading them one feels like they're about two completely different series.
For me, this series was great but flawed. I really enjoyed the original concept and loved the characters, though I can see why some people might feel like they were stolen from other works.
Re:Creators is a show about fictional characters coming to our world and finding out that their misery, their adventures and their entire life had been created for the amusement of the audience. As there are lots of different characters, they all come to terms with this
...
fact in different ways.
This setting provides a lot of room for character growth and interaction and it deliveres on that. While the characters may be somewhat stereotypic, I believe that this was the right thing to do for a show with this large of a cast. You immediately feel like you know the characters, because you do! These are the characters that you see everyday in all your favourite shows, but they are just far enough from that that they also come of as their own person. You might say that they were copied from other works, but for this kind of story, they had to be in order for us to feel like we could be living in the world that the series portrays. Characters: 10/10
The action was rather engaging and the music was straight out epic. Both 10/10.
The artwork was somewhat average. I'd didn't show of but didn't deter either. 7/10 for me.
My biggest criticism is for the story, which I really liked, but I it did have some serious pacing problems. While I love the concept and overarching story as well as the plot-twists and the ending, I felt that huge parts of the "How" were entirely glossed over. In the story there is a timeskip of about half a year during which the Protagonists side prepares for the final battle, but it is not shown HOW they make things work, they just kinda get everything prepared offscreen. This is the reason for quite a few jarring plot-holes like "Why does this work?" or "How did they get everyone to agree on this surprise they were planning".
The anime uses a lot of it's runtime on character-developement. It's not wrong with that approach, as the show is about the characters in the first place and it gains a lot of soul through this, but I believe that a lot of the plot-holes could have been adressed in at least a sentence or two, while the main drama with the MC Souta could have been distributed better throughout the series to make it seem less out of place.
Story 8/10
Pacing 4/10
The ending was really good and fitting though, at least to me. I do wish though, that they'd explained the set-up better. 9/10
While the pacing has a lot of problems, the characters and overarching plot really make it seem, that the Creators of this series poured their souls into this. This show managed to make me care about all the characters, even the ones with little screentime.
Because of this I decided to give the anime a score of 8/10. Yes, it does have problems, but it does a lot of things right, too. Also I hope, that more stories like this will be made in the futere, just maybe with better pacing :D

Kiznaiver is a really unusual show. With it's unique art style and character driven story, it really stands out among other shows. Certainly, it does have some weak points like the really slow pacing and some things don't get properly explained, but I enjoyed it a lot.
Kiznaiver is an anime about pain and friendship. It's about being connected to each other and how to accept each other. The plot doesn't even matter that much, sometimes it seems like there is no plot at all, while the characters aimlessly mess around. So please: don't watch it only for the plot.
In my opinion, Kiznaivers strong points
...
are the visuals (Studio Triggers art style is always a win) and the interesting characters who seem shallow at the beginning but develop into well-rounded and understandable leads.
The music and the voice actors are also noteworthy. They manage to portray the emotions and personalities really well.
So after all, if you like to watch character driven, friendship-themed anime with a bit of drama, then I'm happy to recommend this show to you.

Mayoiga is at best a mediocre show. It amazes with it's strangeness and the most interesting thing about it is the underlying idea about a place that manifests your trauma.
When I started to watch the show, I felt compelled by the mystery. With every new episode I kept wondering what was going on. Why do those things happen? What does it all mean?
Yet, as many others already wrote, the rather interesting story was carried out in the most boring way possible. It could have been way more.
Watching the one-dimensional characters act like total imbeciles really ruins any emotional attachment one might have
...
had. In my opinion, everything about this show kinda fits together and paints a really shallow picture.
The characters would have been really bad in any other show, but they kind of fit here, as they each represent certain aspects. They are not so much meant to be human than ideas which could have turned out really well if only the show were to evoke some questions.
Some interesting main characters aren't discussed in the slightest (e.g. Nanka, the detective).
But through all of it's weak ponts, it somehow fits. Mayoiga manages to form a Scenery out of it's music, characters and plot. It isn't a bad anime. It would have been rather good, if it just asked some questions instead of answering everything. Make the viewers think!
I did not waste my time on this, but I probably wouldn't suggest it to anyone either.
By the way: am I the only one who thinks of Mayoiga as some darker and stranger version of Angel Beats? :)
