Hold it right there! Why not take a break from those intense action, tear-jerking drama, comedic romance anime and take a look at this masterpiece.
If I were to use a word to describe Yuru Camp, it is comfortable. Watching Yuru Camp feels like sipping a cup of tea, enjoying your favorite book over a smooth music with your night lamp turned on.
The most captivating part about Yuru Camp is definitely the art, the scenery. If you are a huge fan of beautiful scenery and always an enthusiast for scenery hotspot during your travels, you are definitely in for a treat. The sceneries were well
...
drawn and almost similar to what you can see in real life to the extent that I lost count on how many times I mentioned "Wow, I want to visit there right now!". I did not personally went to those well known places but there are some comparison online!
That's not it, you can also learn a thing or two from Yuru Camp about camping. It feels like watching a cute documentary on how to camp and some decent "Did you know?" moment. I'm not much of a camper but its definitely an eye opener for me to feel and understand how camping is like. Heck, they made it felt so fun!
Do not get fooled by "its just gonna be some girls doing things they like" from the pictures and description. The characters are not that dull but still don't put too high hopes that the characters have deep backgrounds or shocking personalities. Nonetheless, the characters are still fun to watch and the voice are pretty well done too.
The music and songs are great in the sense that it fits the theme of relaxation. There's no overly sad, emotional music. All you hear are relaxing, exciting and happy BGMs. If its not a mood booster, its definitely not a moody one.
Overall, I really enjoy Yuru Camp and I understand its not for everyone but hey, if you are exhausted from those thrilling anime, why not give Yuru Camp a go? Get yourself a cup of tea, sit on your comfy sofa, and enjoy the smooth and relaxing ride that Yuru Camp has to offer.

If you have watched the first episode and on the verge of dropping this for any reason, I suggest you hold on and read through what I want to say about this romance comedy anime.
To be honest, I was planning on dropping this after watching the first 10 minutes of the first episode. Why? Because everything happens so quickly and it doesnt make absolute sense! MC's past -> MC got hit by a truck -> MC got saved by an unknown girl -> MC confessed -> Girl say ok if MC marry her -> MC agrees -> MC passed out. The main question during this
...
series of events, what the heck just happened? And that is just first part of the episode, the second part is almost the same. So yes, I almost dropped it but I was convinced by a friend that it will get better so I carry on.
Surprising enough, it really is.
Tonikawa is a very light-hearted anime, it feels stress free, it feels warm, and it fills with a lot of "awww" moments. In the first episode, the anime throws you with a lot of questions primarily who are these people and why am I witnessing the key moment of the anime without even really knowing them. After such big event, the anime then slowly walk you through the characters in a very light and easy manner. This is how the this anime present it's dish, showing you a mystery food X, and you need to be brave to taste the ingredients which turns out to be a soothing sweet taste. Tonikawa gradually becomes better, it slowly builds up the characters, making them likeable (to me at least, I don't really dislike any). Eventually, it becomes enjoyable to watch these young newly weds go through their daily lives.
The VA of the character is alright. To be honest, at the beginning, I'm unable to accept the voice for Tsukasa but in a rather short time, I grow accustomed to it. It is actually not that bad. MC and Kaname for me feels the best, I like how both of them voiced. The rest feels alright.
The art style is something very subjective. The main consenses for this anime is to display "cuteness" and it delivers rather well following this theme. However, I do understand this kind of style might not be fitting to a lot of audience (at least from the circle I'm from).
The characters are likeable, for me. To be honest, the character development is quite shallow and their past are mostly touch-and-go. In the end, we don't really know much of the character apart from their current personality in the present. Not the best but not the worst either.
In the end, I enjoy Tonikawa as a very light anime. Its that kind of anime where you just wanted to watch a relaxing episode after a rough day.
You should watch if:
+ You ran out of tears from crying over serious, tearjerking romance anime
+ You want to watch a post confession anime (I'm not kidding, sometimes I sigh when an anime ends after a confession and the other partner accepts)
+ You want to see cute newly wed couples go through their daily lives
+ You will give an anime a chance after a very confusing episode 1
+ You like or able to enjoy light anime with very less serious moments
If you are into romance comedy, why not give it a shot? Try and watch probably 1 episode.... Maybe 3 episodes for this one.

You will probably heard about Dagashi Kashi being a few hours worth of advertisement for Japanese snacks. I'm here to tell you that... I agree as well.
Dagashi Kashi can be a bit heartwarming and stress-free due to the environment settings and no climax or cliffhanging plot. The setting of this anime puts the character in a small town out of city, no overly advanced technology, little to no cars on the road, train or bus could cause you to wait for hours if you missed it. The vibe of such peaceful environment paired with slice of life element can be a bit relaxing at times.
Let's
...
talk about the story. Mainly, Dagashi Kashi is talking about Japanese snacks so if you are someone who would love to know them, I would suggest that this anime could be for you. Storywise, the anime is fixated on a boy who dreamed to become a manga artist but is asked to inherit his family business, as dagashi shop owner, which is not what he wants. The story starts off smooth with this introduction with decent potential. However, as the episode goes on, it felt like a random episode introducing different types of dagashi that fits the theme, which don't really contribute to the main story apart from the main character knows a lot about dagashi. Thus, it starts to grow a little bit bland overtime.
Onto characters. The characters in Dagashi Kashi is quite limited. This is good in a sense that the anime will focus on these characters. However, paired with the issue with the story, the growth of the characters are very slow (because the anime's main point is the dagashi!). I have to admit that the characters are quite likeable as some of them often gives you a good laugh, IMO none of them feels boring, they each have their own likeable characteristics.
In short, Dagashi Kashi is a relaxing, comedy, slice-of-life anime. If you are someone who is after for an interesting plot, this might not be your cup of tea but if you have some spare time, you can give it a shot. If you are someone who loves to learn more about Japanese snacks in form of anime, I recommend you to try and pick this up!
TL;DR:
Want to know about Japanese snack, pick this up;
Want a decent story and plot, drop this;
Want to spend some time for a relaxing anime, you can try to see if it suits you.

Was on a long hiatus from anime and pick this up from a friend's advice, best decision ever! Although I'm late for giving this anime a review but I had to do it. The post effect of this anime is too strong! I'll try to give my best on reviewing this with no spoilers!
Now, let's get into this hidden gem. First off, story. The story pacing is acceptable, some do find it a bit slow but it was just right. Sure, there might be a bit of beating around the bush at the beginning but it was alright. It's has a good introduction but
...
the flow of the story goes great after that. Every episode feels refreshing and of course, SWEET. The roller-coaster ride for every episode is never dull! I can get diabetes from this anime, seriously.
Onto art style, I like the main characters' design. Though at some scene the art might be a bit out of place but at the very least at some important scenes, they are polished. So there might be some inconsistent there. However, the art is still enjoyable.
The VA and songs are good. The main characters VA seems very well describing the character. For eg. Kotarou is a quiet and shy guy so the soft sound of his when talking suits him. I can't really judge much on art and sound as I'm not really an expert in judging them but none the less, I enjoyed them.
Now the best part, character's development. Perfect. Instead of putting the audience straight into the characters knowing one another and flashing back and forth to the past and present to tell us about their background. The anime starts off with both main characters did not know each other at all but they tend to get curious towards one another. I felt like this kind of development suits my taste, start from blank slate and move on from there.
As the anime goes on, they did not rush the development but instead here's where opinion splits, you either feel the pacing is too slow and redundant OR you feel the progression is at its normal satisfactory speed. I'm the later and I truly enjoy such pacing. However, I definitely did not feel anything is rushed inside, but maybe its just me.
Now, I'm just talking about two main characters development. Here comes a rather bad point which is, there's almost no development with OTHER characters. (Maybe there is a little bit but its almost to none) Its always about both of them so you have to be prepared for this if you are not a fan of such development! For one I feel this is not a bad point, the main point of the anime is about the romance of this couple, but don't get me wrong , they do interact with their friends and there are obstacles but they are not as memorable as this couple that constantly supplying free sugar.
Lastly, did I enjoy this journey? I sure am! It was hard to say good bye to this anime once I finished it (and I'm not gonna comment how I really feel about the ending, but its almost similar to the majority in the episode discussion, I try not to give out too much too), but it was a fun ride. Thanks for the great time, Tsuki ga Kirei!
TL;DR: If you like romance, drama OR slice of life, pick this up immediately and don't put it down until you finish. And once you are done, get your sugar level check. Definitely fun to watch, recommended! 10/10

Allow me to do a little intro, I have a friend working as an animator in an anime company and often did I heard that he would go home earliest by 2am or even 6am. I had no idea what dragged him from work but this anime cleared my curiosity.
Shirobako focuses on a group of five girls who were once members of an animation club getting together to produce an anime for their school festival. Soon after graduation, they dreamed that they would one day produce an anime together. And thus, the real plot begins. The story focuses the working environment of an anime company
...
where the MC is working at.
The anime does a magnificent job in explaining the steps and procedures on how an anime is produced. Beginning from the process of writing a storyboard to the step whereby it is delivered to radio station, it might not be very detailed but it is very sufficient enough to give us viewer a general idea on what's going on behind the scenes of the anime we watched today.
Apart from it being educational, the gem of this anime lies behind the characters development. The number of characters in this anime is quite enormous and almost most of them had made an appearance in episode 1. Sure enough I did not remember all of them but a few episodes later, I can roughly know them better.
Onto the main point, the anime mentioned about the characters' pasts, fears, problems etc. Some with a depressing past, some facing with a bad situation in present, some with an aimless dream. Though the anime is fiction but all these are totally reflections of our reality. If I have to pick on a theme where the anime pay a lot of attention to, I would say "dream". From the anime you could see various characters (which sometimes reflects people around us) with different reasons of being in the anime industry, different objectives at the end of the road, different interests etc. And to add on, the anime also showed how did those characters work on achieving what they dream to be. Filling with element of surprise and emotions, the developments are very well delivered to the viewers.
Next, climax. You don't need to have an extraordinary action or a tear-jerking drama to have climax into an anime. Even an anime as simple as showing the working environment could also provide tensions to the viewers. I'm not gonna spoil but all I could say that even though there isn't much climax, its a key element worth mentioning as I find them quite exciting!
Alright, a short summary, Shirobako is a comedy, slice-of-life anime which centers around an anime industry with 5 friends dreaming to be together working on an anime. I apologized for not mentioning details like the art or sound as the other elements have brought my attention away.
TL;DR version: As a whole, I seriously enjoy this and if you are viewing this page wondering whether you should give it a try, then I will say to just go on ahead. Don't turn a blind eye on this or you'll miss a great series!
Thanks for reading!
SPOILER: I love donuts too. :D

Well first off, you don't have to really love or know music to enjoy this anime. Personally I did not know much about classical music and the only person I know that was mentioned is Beethoven. However, the anime did show me there are other classical masterpiece existed and they are marvelous and very well expressed in this series. I truly enjoy the music here.
Now onto a more serious review, the plot for the anime starts off slow, but it was alright since it is very well covered some of the character's background and such but it soon become quite a drag. The
...
main character's background and history was pretty well covered to be honest, but the events of overcoming past fears has turned out to be draggy.
After that, the story starts to gain speed and what is not alright is it lacks in terms of characters' relationship with one another. I realized some of the characters developments, especially one of the core character, are quite lacking. For me, its not enough. The time spent together, like on-the-way-home, festivals or such scene, is not enough. It emphasizes more on music than your typical romance drama. Many might say that the development of the main characters are quite well developed and yes, I agree but its just not satisfying. Finally, near the end, the romance development starts to vomit out rapidly.
Alright, lets go back to another good point. Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso focuses on music, music competition and also the life of a musician. It reflects pretty well to see how a musician was born and developed. The motivation of being a musician, their idol that kept them going, the reason for being one is very well expressed.
The music is well described for people who is quite music-blinded like me. The emotions exerted by the musician; sadness, anger, loneliness, sorrow were explained and mentioned by the characters that made me go "Oh..." using colors as addition that blends in with their feelings. Surely, the emotions are quite well expressed too.
In a nutshell, I personally green lit this anime, I enjoyed it even though I was a little disappointed as I was more into the drama but it doesn't satisfied me. The ending is well wrapped and I think it is worth your time to watch this anime to not only enjoy the music but also understand a little about the life of a musician that you might not be able to experience like me. If you are still looking for a drama, there might be better ones but this will do fine.
Thanks for reading!
TLDR version: Its good, go watch it, bye.

Most of us who went through their childhood with games or tv shows must have this feeling of amazed when they are exposed to awesome characters to the extend that they wanted to imitate it. Take for instance, a child took a towel or a cloth and pretended it as a cape hanging over their back and holding a stick or an umbrella or any items possible. Then, they started to shout ridiculously long and confusing strings of words and jumped around. "Chuunibyou" has the similar meaning but mostly refers to teenagers.
"Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!" is an anime whereby the main character, Togashi, Yuuta
...
trying to get over his chuunibyou and wanted all his memories about it vanish. How? The anime started off with him go to a high school far away from where he stay so that he do not meet with his middle school friends, who know all about his "Dark Flame Master"'s moments. Why? Because its embarrassing that's why. He is trying his best to turn over a new leaf at high school. However, his plan did not turned out well.
He met with a girl, his classmate, Takanashi, Rikka who are still having the chuunibyou syndrome. She wears an eye-patch claiming she has this special eye of truth which is real judging by the colors! Before we knew it, her secret is exposed, she wore a colored contact. However, she know all about Yuuta's secret being a Dark Flame Master and thus his embarrassing moments continue to torment him even he tried to escape.
The anime continues to reward us with laughing moments and the epic Rikka's battle imagination although all she did was swinging and jumping around in reality. We are then exposed to more characters and know more about one's interesting background. Finally, we got a total change of atmosphere of the anime, which I'm not gonna spoil you guys but it probably won't let you guys down.
Though I'm not a master in determining the art or sound quality but I felt that they are great. The opening and ending are alright, there are a few times I did not skip them.(Well, I am lazy sometimes but they are not half bad as you listen) The voice actors for the characters seem to fit one another quite well, none of them seems weird or out, I give a thumb up for that.
Personally, I enjoyed the anime. Although it did not win as the perfect anime but its great and I recommend to those especially who enjoy slice of life anime. Be kindly reminded that this anime is not an action anime. I give it an 8 out of 10. In addition, its been a while since I saw a perfect couple match, just my two cents about this, I found them quite cute and fit together.
I'm still learning to write a good review so I hope this review is suitable. Thanks guys!

This is my first anime review so I hope I'm doing it right.
Natsuiro Kiseki features four best friends doing normal daily stuff and having fun together. Knowing one of them is leaving soon, they tried their best to spend their last summer vacation to the fullest and forge an unforgettable memory. Sounds simple? IMO, although it does sound simple but I find this anime meaningful and interesting.
This anime is mainly focusing on friendship mixing all kinds of emotions together. It started with four of them found a large rock in a shrine that grant wishes. This rock seems to lift up my interest for
...
watching this anime and towards the end, it really didn't let me down. Weird wishes are being granted, for example in episode 1, they wish to fly and their wish came true, they did flew up the sky. This truly enhances the story of this seemingly plain anime. Some might find it illogical and nonsensical but if an anime is being made 100% logical, it might be hard for the director to fulfill your expectations and enjoyment.
I'm not a true artist but for me, the art is above average. Its not perfect but i found some of the scenery attracting. Considering the character design, I give it a thumb up. My expectation might not be high but the art seems a good job to me.
As for the sound part, I really love the OP and ED. Addition, the voice of the characters are quite fitting if you ask me I can't really see a problem with that. The voices are fit for their own characteristics.
This anime is not for everyone. There's no action, lack of romance, only a few funny scenes. Some might drop this because of those reasons. However, the main message, friendship, seems to deliver quite well. I am really satisfy with it. If you are expecting a decent slice of life anime, Natsuiro Kiseki might be your cup of tea.
