I'm not especially good at writing but reading this manga made me want to write this review. After reading some of the other reviews I felt that the reviewers did not read the manga going into it the way I did.
I have heard this statement being thrown around very often:
"People see what they want to", I had come to realize this long ago but this manga reaffirmed this.
When I read the synopsis before going into the manga I expected a Hajime No Ippo or Ashita No Joe like manga but what I got was very different. You see I'm really into underdog stories
...
which I guess are found a lot in sports manga/anime so what I'm saying is I've seen a lot of sports anime and read a lot of sports manga (Though I haven't yet added them all to my MAL list yet). When I went into this I hoped that the protagonist would come through all the odds and succeed somehow, that he would beat Aoyama, that he would finally get laid, that he wouldn't run away, that he would change but NO, I didn't get any of that. Each time his life got better; it just got worse (Usually because he did something stupid). At this point I'd probably been through 70 odd chapters (I was reading it in one go you see) so I started wondering why I was reading this?
It wasn't what I'd come for, then I realized (Not that it hadn't occurred to me earlier). This story was real. The Characters were real. This was life. There were no miracles. Our protagonist had to work and he still failed, Not once, not twice but almost every time. He tried, he ran and he shit himself. Despite this every time our protagonist was in a dire situation I did not lose hope. For some reason I felt that he would make it despite all the pages that I'd read before in the manga. I'm not sure if this is just me or this is the manga.
What I'm saying is that I was able to connect to the manga.
If you are a person who is looking for the usual type of manga you won't find it here. If your looking for something different I would suggest this.
P.S:
I didn't go into technical details about the art and story in the review because of 2 reasons:
Primarily because that wasn't the point of the review and second because I'm not very qualified to talk about that.
But just to mention the art is alright though it can be epic at certain points and story really does not have a lot in terms of actual development but it kept me guessing at places. Go ahead and give it a shot.

This piece of writing is based on the viewing experience of the first 4 episodes of Eromanga-sensei.
To be honest I really don't understand why this series is getting so much hate.
I understand that there is no real plot, the character are not deep and the protagonist is the usual light novel protagonist. But I don't think people watching this show come into it expecting a interesting plot with unique characters.
I read CoquiEnthusiast review of the show in which he/she wanted to vent his/her anger regarding the show and I get that most of the points he made are fair but to be fair to the
...
show-
-The animation is not that bad.(Relative to some of the other shows that have come out this season it's quite good. Eg: Clockwork planet, Alice to Zouruko etc)
-The soundtrack gets a passing grade too.
-I too fell the displeasure experienced by CoquiEnthusiast due to the unnecessary sexualization of the characters of the show, but at this point the anime industry is in such a place that most of the shows based in the harem/ecchi genre all share this common theme and also most shows based out of highschool also share this theme.
-Despite all this, if you just want to shut your brain and watch some stupid shit then this show itself is not that bad.
I also understand the comparison to Oreimo and it's blatantly obvious where this plot is going but I think the people who watch this shows every week already know this.
As a anime fan, I do expect much better from the anime industry, I myself also hope that shows like Ping pong, Code Geass, Haikyuu S1,S2 ,Berserk 1997-98, Parasite are produced every season and that I can take pleasure in watching them.
I'm not here to say that Eromanga-sensei is great anime in fact I don't even think it's a good anime and i'm sure everyone will forget about it by the end of the season. I myself won't be watching this anime anymore. But If some one wants to enjoy Eromanga-sensei I have nothing against them. After all if people can watch tentacle hentai why can't they watch this.
After reading all this the reader may be wondering what I wanted to convey through this. To be honest nothing much really, I just wanted to put forward my thoughts on this show.
BTW I really like the OP of the show.
P.S: Sorry for mentioning CoquiEnthusiast review again and aging in the above text. I understand that most of the readers may not have read his/her review. His/Her review of Eromanga-sensei should be up on the MAL page of Eromanga-sensei.

This piece of writing is based of my viewing experience of the first 5 episodes of Youjo Senki -
Let me answer the question that comes to mind immediately when you read something like this:
Should you watch Youjo Senki?
As of now yes. It's probably one of the better anime that's been released this season.
Can I use the "you" to refer to everyone?
Probably? People who are interested in cute girls playing around or who are into Ecchi stuff probably won't find much here.
But for everyone else this show should present something.
So,
...
What does this show have?
Animation:
It's done pretty well, nothing of outstanding stature but better then most of the other shit that's come out this season.
Soundtrack:
The soundtrack isn't to my taste but it suits the show well and some humans might enjoy it.
Plot:
The plot definitely offers something different but if you were to ask me it's entire premise is flawed. That's not to say that the story is bad (In fact it actually draws you in and is entertaining) but that it's, put nicely over the top.
Characters:
Young evil girl who has been resurrected by God (Nothing else to say).
How was my Experience?
This is probably one of the shows I enjoyed more this season. But I guess that doesn't really matter (with respect to this piece of writing).
Go try it out.
Note: Before dropping it watch the 2nd episode.

I've seen 4 episodes of ACCA and this review is based on that much only:
Reason why I'm writing the review?
To be honest do I need a reason?, well I don't appreciate the lack of viewership this show is getting and it's lack of popularity on MAL, not to mention it's relatively low rating.
So, this is an attempt to tell people of what potential this series holds(Unlike the other anime this season Eg- Masamune-kun no Revenge, kuzu no Honkai, Ao no Exorcist: Kyoto Fujouou-hen) and what it's doing right.
Story:
I like the scale of the story. We are 4 episodes into it and the set
...
up seems great. Also the setting was fairly unique(Not high school or Video game)
At this point anything could happen.
Characters:
This is where the show really got me. Seeing the same shit again and again had become boring. At first it doesn't seem that the characters are all that special(But their personality traits are reviled one by one subtly) and their variety was pleasing.
Soundtrack:
The soundtrack is not bad but nothing of incredible consequence
Art:
The animation style is unique. Personally I like the animation style. I'd say animation quality is constant unlike shows like Haikyuu!! or Yuri on Ice where it peaks and then drops.
I understand why some people might not like this show. Since it starts of slow, flashy stuff doesn't happen frequently and the mood is fairly calm.
But why does a show have to do flash stuff or bring eccentric or absolutely stupid characters.
I think as the show goes on people will start to appreciate the show because of how well the story will develop. I hope that the industries will produce more of such audio visual content in the future.

Review is based on 4 episodes of viewing experience-
I'll keep this short and clean -
Simply put Kuzu no Honkai is a better animated and overall better put together SCHOOL DAYS with multiple people having personalities like the MC of School Days.
There is a lot of hype this season surrounding this show, people saying it depicts relationships realistically blah blah but I think this is an overrated anime that doesn't have anywhere to go.
Human's will probably hype this like Yaoi on Ice (Which wasen't that bad but it did not deserve what it got), but I don't plan on being one of those human's.
Sorry
Bye

When I think about Haikyuu!! season 3, one thing comes to mind
DISAPPOINTMENT
For me at least as an avid fan of Haikyuu!! season 1 and 2 what made Haikyuu!! so special was the concept of a human/humans overcoming unrealistic odds without unrealistic things happening (As in Haikyuu!! was grounded in realism). Though the story did not have much to it and the pacing was off at times, whatever was done was usually done fairly well.
The characters were 2 dimensional and didn't have much to them other then their 1 or 2 major qualities, but this did not bother me much (Since actually depicting human
...
behavior precisely in any form of audio visual content is near impossible).
The art was quite unique and the animation was well done (Relative to some of the animation I've seen in some of the other sports anime) (Not to mention the 2nd opening of season 2 and ending 2 of Season 1). The soundtrack also almost perfectly fit the moments that displayed on screen. With all this Haikyuu!! season 1 and 2 managed to create its own environment and sense of feel that got you uplifted and hyped.
This is what was there in Haikyuu!! season 1 and 2 for me.
Now coming to the topic at hand Haikyuu!! Season 3:
By god why did they do this.
The pacing is horrible (By horrible I mean HORRIBLE). The soundtrack has degraded. Nothing spacial in the OP and ED. Humor has become silly and vague.
Mr. Perfect Shiratorizawa has appeared and can do anything (Realism goes to hell). The focus has shifted from the MC (Hinata and Kageyama) and whatever story Haikyuu!! season 1 and 2 had has gone to hell.
Note: Animation is still great.(If not better then season 1 and 2)
But other then the above reasons why disappointment comes to mind when I think of Haikyuu!! season 3 is because I think that Haikyuu!! has lost something special that it had.
I think that that whenever good audio visual content is produced it has its mood or environment and this sense of emotion that it brings into you when you experience it and this has been completely changed and to a great extent Haikyuu!! season 3 has lost what Haikyuu!! season 1 and 2 had.
Despite all this I enjoyed Haikyuu!! season 3(Though not more then season 1 and 2) and think that it was one of the better anime of the season but I just feel that Production IG could have done a better job(I understand that some of the points I have made are due to the fact that the anime was only ten episodes and focused only on one match between Karasuno and Shiratorizawa but I still feel it's execution was lacking greatly).
Would I recommend this to someone looking to watch anime:
YES
Would I recommend this to someone who has seen Season 1 and 2 of Haikyuu!!:
NO
As of now all I am doing is waiting for Season 4 of Haikyuu!!(Hoping that it will bring back what Haikyuu!! season 1 and 2 had.)
