Reading Natsume Yuujinchou feels like crossing into a mushroom circle. There's magic and mystery, and charm in the natural feel. The story has been going on for about eighteen years now, and it's nice seeing how themes and details will build on each other in small ways. If you love slice of life, especially the kind that makes you feel like your sitting in a forest on a sunny day, enjoying time as it passes, this is a great manga! It's also fun because it dances amongst many different feelings. It balances light comedy with darker moods, energetic scenes and calming scenery.

Blame! Movie (Anime) add
Mixed Feelings
Blame! is a great manga. It has a somewhat unique storytelling style. The show for it tried to replicate this in kind of the most bullshit manner, and the movie tried to avoid it in a somewhat unsatisfying way. I ended up watching a movie that was like your typical action thriller when the manga felt like so much more than that. It was nice, I'll admit, for some things to be explained because shit took forever to understand in the manga... but I don't know there was something about trying to figure it all out that was really fun about it as well. It's ...

Personally I don't like the art style. It's an older style... but if you really look at the art, even if you don't like the style, you have to admit it's really good. Her use of contrast and the arrangement of panels is very well done. She's good at releasing emotion, not just through dialogue and story, but through her art as well. She obviously knows her tools and skills and so I must admit that it is good even if at times I dislike it. The manga was been in the making since 2001 so the art does change a bit and even improve. ...

(disclaimer: long and jumpy review)

If you want to skip the long reading, here's my basic review of it "Rough start and awesome finish."

If you are not okay with gore, this is not your anime.

I started out with this anime unimpressed. I thought it was just a bunch of overloaded action (and to some extent it was a bit overdone in the beginning) but as the anime progressed I grew more and more intensely in love with it. Whenever I recommend it to people, I always tell them they just have to keep watching it because it gets better.

One thing I didn't like about ...

Okay, so this is a really good review... mainly because this Manwha is REALLY GOOD. I finished it in one sitting, my eyes glued to the screen. I couldn't believe how amazing the story line was and the coloring along with the art itself was really well done. It is one of the greatest Manwhas I've ever read. It's so surreal, and amazing, and I love the way certain parts of the story weave and complete each other. It's been about half a year and I still remember its vivid contents.
