Zwar ist diese Staffel ruhiger als die letzten Staffeln aber man merkt, dass sie eine gute Basis für ein episches Finale bietet. Alle Handlungen in der Staffel ergeben Sinn und nichts fühlt sich gestreckt an. Auch wenn die Staffel keine große Action wie die vorherigen Staffeln bietet, schafft sie es Spannung aufbauen und einen heiß zu machen auf das was noch kommt. Trotz dieser ruhigen Staffel gibt es immer noch Überraschungen und Erkenntnisse, die in einer actiongeladenen Staffel so eventuell nicht möglich gewesen wären.

Die Animationen sind wieder herausragend, CGI fällt so gut wie nie auf und wird passend in Szene gesetzt.

Die Charaktere werden diesmal in einem guten Pacing sinnvoll in die Staffel integriert, man erfährt endlich mehr über wichtige Charaktere, von denen man vorher kaum etwas wusste. Auch eine Charakterentwicklung ist nahezu bei allen zu sehen.

Das Worldbuilding ist wie in den Staffeln zuvor auch. Es gibt zwar keine richtigen Überraschungen mehr aber das Worldbuilding ist definitiv durchweg gelungen.

Die Soundeinlage ist in dieser Staffel wieder absolut gelungen, die Musik hört sich fantastisch an und passt perfekt zu den Szenen.
Gesamteindruck 5 % 8/10
Trotz der ruhigen Art eine sehr gelungene Staffel, wenn nicht sogar einer der Besten, sofern man nicht durchgehend Action braucht. Die Story für das große Finale ist gelegt, die sehr gute Musik und die Animationen haben wieder überzeugt. Nach einer eher ziellosen 4. Staffel wirkt das hier wieder wie ein Sprung nach vorne.

Wie in der zweiten und dritten Staffel auch, handelt es sich hierbei nur um einen einzigen Arc. Das Problem dabei ist, dass es sich irgendwann zu repetitiv anfühlt. Während die zweite Staffel mit ihren starken Emotionen und dritte Staffel mit den bis dato besten Kämpfen glänzen konnte, konnte die vierte Staffel nirgends wirklich überzeugen. Die Story macht kaum fortschritte und das Pacing ist wirklich schlecht. Nahezu in jedem Kampf gibt es bei den besonders spannenden Momenten, Rückblicke über die Vergangenheit der einzelnen Charaktere was dazu führt, dass die Spannung in den Kämpfen deutlich nachlässt. Auch lässt sich mittlerweile nahezu immer ein Kampf vorhersagen.

Die Animationen sind wieder sehr gut, allerdings bietet diese Staffel keine besonders atemberaubende Kämpfe mehr wie in Staffel 2 oder vor allem Staffel 3.

Die Staffel macht zwar bis auf dem Pacing nichts wirklich falsch, aber sie kann nirgends so überzeugen wie noch die zweite oder dritte Staffel. Trotz der guten Story und sehr gutem Pacing, in dem sowohl ruhige als auch rasante Momente entstehen, hat man am Ende eher das Gefühl kaum voran gekommen zu sein. Die Staffel wirkt wie die zweite Staffel auch, eher nur wie ein visuell bombastischer Kinofilm. Leider fällt einem im Laufe des Animes während den Kämpfen auch immer wieder auf, dass vermeintlich gewonnene Kämpfe doch nicht gewonnen sind und weiter gehen. Das passiert leider inzwischen so oft, dass es sich schon vorhersagen lasst.

Absolute Spitze. Auch hier wieder hat sich der Anime selbst übertroffen, die Kampfszenen sind animationstechnisch ein absolutes Meisterwerk.

Diese Staffel bietet weniger Charaktere als die erste Staffel, dafür erfährt man hier deutlich mehr über die Protagonisten. Das ist besonders für die Spannung und Handlung der Staffel wichtig. Man kann aufgrund der ausgebauten Charakterhintergründe sehr gut mit den Charakteren mit fiebern und versteht sie nun noch besser.

Es gibt zwar bewusst ruhige als actiongeladene Folgen aber alles im allem gibt es viele Folgen in denen Praktisch kaum etwas passiert, selbst in ruhigen Folgen erfährt man selten etwas spannendes oder emotionales das die Folge sehenswürdig erscheinen lässt. Es gibt viele Szenen die den Anime unnötig strecken, weniger Folgen hätten ihm gut getan.

Die Animationen sind gut aber bieten wenig "WoW" Effekt. Dennoch durchaus solide.

Die Animationen sind sehr Bunt und gleichzeitig schlicht gehalten. An dieser Stelle sieht der Anime aus wie ein typischer "moderner" Anime aber ohne wirklich eine eigene Seele vermitteln zu können. Es wirkt eher als mehr Mittel zum Zweck.

Leider Punktet der Anime an dieser Stelle kaum, obwohl dies seine eigentliche Stärke in dem Genre sein müsste. Es gibt eigentlich nur 4 relevante Charakter in dem Anime, 2 Haupt und 2 Nebencharaktere. Sowohl die Haupt, als auch die Nebencharaktere sind zu flach.. vor allem die Nebencharaktere haben wirklich fast keinen eigenen Charme und die Hintergrundgeschichten der Charaktere wirken auch leider zu langweilig, zu einfach.
Worldbuilding 5 % 5/10
Der Anime besteht fast komplett nur aus der Wohnung der Protagonisten, selten gibt es auch Szenen von außerhalb. Das ist nicht unbedingt schlecht, wenn es man gut verpackt, kann es sogar richtig gut werden. Dennoch muss man wissen worauf man sich an dieser Stelle einlässt. Da er hier nichts besonderes bieten kann, reicht es nur für den durchschnitt.

Die Musik ist einfach gehalten, sehr repetitiv. Sie ist nicht schlecht, bleibt aber auch nicht im Kopf hängen... das Intro passt immerhin zum Anime und hört sich gar nicht so schlecht an.

Trotz allem reicht es nur für eine durchschnittliche Bewertung da er in keinem Bereich wirklich glänzen kann. Vielleicht ändert sich das aber in der 2. Staffel.

The worldbuilding is highly imaginative and strongly reminiscent of Dungeons and Dragons. Everything seems perfectly worked out and offers an incredible amount of scope for endless stories, the viewer is even taken along on the journey and sees how the places credibly develop over time.

The music, along with the animations, emotional side and character depth, is the huge strength of the anime. There are many scenes in the anime that have their own pieces of music, which are only played once. The music is a masterpiece in itself, if you listen to the playlist of the individual songs again online, you will see how great practically every song is. It's all there, heart-warming, epic and cozy pieces of music.

This is truly a dreamlike masterpiece. This anime has quickly become my favorite anime, rarely have I seen an anime that has amazed me from the very first episode. Wenn man mal drüber Nachdenkt, ist die Story eigentlich einfach gehalten aber bietet dennoch schon allein deshalb eine Abwechslung weil der Zuschauer nicht mit der typischen Geschichte Konfrontiert wird, dass das große Böse bekämpft werden muss. Dieser etwas untypische Weg und die Tatsache dass er trotzdem gut überlegte Überraschungen bereit hält, machen ihn so unglaublich spannend und schön anzusehen. Gerade deshalb weil er eigentlich die Geschichte danach erzählt, wird man wortwörtlich mit auf eine Reise genommen da er gleichzeitig auch erklärt was früher passiert ist und man nicht weiß was in Zukunft noch passiert. Die Story bietet in Kombination mit den Charakteren und dem Worldbuilding äußerst viel Potenzial für mehr.

Das Pacing ist größtenteils langsam, man hat das Gefühl mitten in einer Fantasiewelt zu sein und diese mit zu erkunden. Trotz des absichtlich geringen Tempos, nimmt er immer wieder an Geschwindigkeit auf und bietet in den passenden Momenten Action. Es kann als etwas negativ aufgenommen werden, dass der Anime von seiner sehr ruhigen Art ab einem gewissen Zeitpunkt in der Serie abwendet und sich stärker einem Thema widmet, dass eine ganz andere Art von geschwindigkeit der Erzählung verursacht. Das ist nicht unbedingt schlecht, man kann es auch als spannend bezeichenen aber es fällt dennoch auf.

Unfassbar ausgearbeitete Charaktertiefe. Diese Kategorie ist eine Glatte 10/10, ich habe noch nie einen Anime gesehen bei der jeder kleinste Charakter so gut ausgearbeitet wurde. Das hier ist die Wahre stärke des Animes. Der Anime kommt fast vollständig ohne stereotypische Elemente aus. Es wäre fast so als würde man keinen Anime gucken, die Charaktere sind einzigartig, man spürt ihre Seele, ihre Gedanken und Handlungen.

Das Worldbuilding ist hoch Fantasie und erinnert stark an Dungeons and Dragons. Alles wirkt perfekt ausgearbeitet und bietet unfassbar viel Freiraum für unendliche Geschichten, der Zuschauer wird sogar auf die Reise mitgenommen und sieht wie sich die Orte glaubwürdig im laufe der Zeit entwickeln.

Die Musik ist mit den Animationen, Emotionalen Seite und Charaktertiefe, die riesige Stärke des Animes. Es gibt massig Szenen im Anime die ihre eigenen Musikstücke haben, die auch nur dann ein einziges Mal abgespielt werden. Die Musik ist ein Meisterwerk für sich, wer online sich die Playlist der einzelnen Lieder nochmal anhört, wird sehen wie grandios praktisch jedes Lied ist. Es ist alles dabei, Herzerwärmende, epische und gemütliche Musikstücke.

Das ist hier wahrlich ein traumhaftes Meisterwerk. Dieser Anime hat sich innerhalb kürzester Zeit zu meinem Lieblingsanime Entwickelt, selten habe ich einen Anime gesehen der mich schon in der ersten Episode zum staunen gebracht hat. Wer nicht durchgängig Action braucht und großen Wert auf Charaktertiefe und Emotionen legt, der ist hier genau richtig. Es passt einfach alles zusammen wie ein perfektes Zahnrad.

Many of the characters are stereotypical and the antagonists only seem evil because they have to be. Die Grundidee der Geschichte ist durchaus spannend. Es gibt hier und da ein paar Kleinigkeiten, die unrealistisch wirken, aber alles wirkt dennoch gut durchdacht, sowohl von der Idee her als auch von dem, was in der Geschichte passiert. Die Antagonisten wirken nicht unnötig dazwischen gequetscht, sondern entwickeln sich glaubwürdig. Was allerdings auffällt, ist, dass sich die Geschichte eher wiederholt und vorhersehbar ist.
Tempo/Erzählfluss 10% 8/10
Der Anime hat ein gutes Tempo und nimmt sich Zeit, um die wissenschaftlichen Erfindungen in einem glaubwürdigen Tempo voranzubringen. Der Anime wirkt nie unnötig in die Länge gezogen und bleibt meiner Meinung nach durchgehend interessant und spannend zu sehen.

Auf dieser Ebene bietet der Anime eher einfache Charaktere mit einfachen Gesprächen zwischen den Charakteren. Man merkt, dass das Zielpublikum jung ist.

Ein sehr interessantes post-apokalyptisches Setting. Die Welt bietet viel zu entdecken, an jeder Ecke kann ein neuer interessanter Ort auftauchen und die Ausgangssituation der Geschichte bietet viel Raum für Spannung. Das Setting wirkt absolut realistisch und gut durchdacht.
Musik / Sounddesign 10% 7.5/10
Die Musik ist gut und passt zum Anime. Allerdings ist sie manchmal etwas zu repetitiv, in den meisten Szenen, in denen etwas mit Wissenschaft passiert, wird ein bestimmter Song gespielt. Hier hätte ich mir mehr Abwechslung gewünscht.
