I love how Shiki put Vampires and Zombies into one. They rise up from the dead, feed on blood, burn in the sun, and can be killed by destroying the brain or heart.
***I never said that shiki had zombies. But the Shiki themselves have both zombie and vampire attributes. Please learn how to read English.***
story 9/10
The story was great. Though I feel the ending is a major cliff hanger and I wish that there was more detail as to what happened.
art 10/10
I love the detailing in the gore and violence. Very nice.
...
sound 10/10
of course funimation does the best dubbing ever. I watched it dubbed. Who doesn't love hearing Todd Haberkorn on a psycho person? Perfect.♥
character 10/10
each character has their own personality and quirks. I wouldn't say there were any dull characters. At all.
enjoyment 10/10
I love violent and bloody animes for one, as long as they have a good story. Unlike Blood-C, which was mindless and idiotic battles.
Overall 9/10
loved it and I have already recommended it to my friends. Just because you may have not heard of it till now doesn't mean its not good. Under-the-table anime's tend to be the best, anyway.

First things first. I watched Shiki on myanimestream.net and they included the specials in the series itself. As like Episode 20 and 21 I believe it was. So, you don't need to finish Shiki to watch the specials. Its perfectly fine to watch them after 19 and 20...It just gives 2 characters stories.
story 9/10
I am giving the "specials" a rating based on the entire anime itself. Since at the time I wasn't aware of these being cast off as separate episodes.

One thing I wanna get straight. "Elfen Lied" is German and it means "Elf's Song". Lied is pronounced LEAD. Not like the lied we use in English when we say "I lied about that". I mean, com'on. After each episode in the preview for the next one, the guy even says Elfen LEAD, not the English pronunciation of lied. Soooo many people say it wrong and it is just sooo annoying...
Anyway. Elfen Lied got cut short because it never really became popular in Japan. It is way more popular in American than in Japan. Not quite sure why that is. I have heard from numerous
...
people that the Manga (which was getting translated into English but then suddenly was dropped) is so much better than the Anime. Its usually like that though. (Tsubasa, for example).
The story was good but due to budget cuts you can tell in the last 2 episodes or so that things were being rushed and not everything was going to be able to be put it. Which may have given Elfen Lied a bad rap if people didn't know of the creators situation.
Excessive amount of nudity and blood. The blood and gore didn't bother me at all but I felt the child Diclonious ' at least could have been 'less naked'...
A bit too much fan service for my taste.
The English dub is pretty bad if you ask me...But I didn't want to read subtitles so I put up with it.
I feel that so many things where left out due to budget problems...I want to read the manga badly. But first I will have to brush up on my Japanese.
It was good...but slow at times...and the ending left a lot of disappointment on my part.

I wasn't exactly expecting the story to be what it was but I was expecting all of the gore and blood. Quite a disturbing anime in that the way people die. I am now afraid of elevators and the propellers on boats. Haha.
But, Another did include most of my favorite genres. Violence(gory), Psychology, and Super Naturalality (I know that's not a word but guess what, I just made it one.) The only thing left out was love.
If you have a weak stomach or just a mind not used to extravagant gory deaths, then I do not recommend this for you.
The story I gave
...
9/10. Some things where simply left out. You will figure that out close to the ending of the anime.
Art 10/10. I love the style and expressions and I guess you could say over exaggeration of the characters movements, For anime at least.
Sound 10/10 Dubbing is really good. So if you don't fancy reading sub titles the dub is great.
Character 10/10 I feel every character was given their own individual personalities. Especially Yuya and Mei.
Enjoyment 10/10 I usually don't finish an anime all in one inning, but this one I did. Each episode kept me coming back for more.
overall 9/10 due to some things that I wish where told about the story and legend itself.
you can watch all of it in dub or sub along with a bunch of other animes in high quality and very little advertising on MyAnimeStream.net

An amazing anime that can never be forgotten. It always keeps the viewer coming back for more.
Blood+ packs all sorts of genres into one anime, without it feeling packed. You've got your romance, violence, drama and tragedy all in one. Equally balanced and favoring to every kind of person.
Every episode has a cliffhanger and not in a bad way. The ending of one episode makes your mind fill with possibilities and questions and forces you to watch the next episode. That's what I call entertainment.
At first, you might think this anime is just about Saya Otonashi, a teenage girl suffering from memory loss
...
living with an adoptive family on the small island of Okinawa, Japan. Who then comes upon monsters that can only be killed by her blood. The end. That's all show will ever be about. No conclusion or back stories..
BUT NO...!!!!!
It is the entire opposite! So much that you could never even imagine happens and it juts completely blows your mind...Blood+ has so much to it and is beautifully written. I love it so much and I highly recommend it to anyone that loves multiple genres and is okay with some blood and gore...!♥
Story:
Amazing. Simply amazing. There are so many things that you never saw coming and so many back stories that you learn about later that all add up to the main point of the anime!
Art:
I love the art and character designs along with the clothing designs. Another sequel to the Blood franchise, Blood-C, has better animation, but Blood+'s story outweighs the minor animation issues by far!
Sound:
The dubbing isn't that great for some characters. I think Haji's voice actor, Crispin Freeman could have put more emotion into Haji's voice sometimes but overall the dubbing is great. The sound effects are perfect.:)
Character:
Each character has their own individual personality and that is easily shown. Many people can relate to a character.
Enjoyment:
LOVE IT. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. It is not exactly 1st on my list but not second either...1st and a half? haha Code Geass still holds its place in 1st.
Overall:
100/10!!! Yes, one hundred out of 10 haha... For anyone who loves a bit of each genre in one anime and for someone who is okay with blood and gore. Its not disgusting gore or anything. Just lots and lots of blood~♥
Blood's a pretty color.

So many people look at this and think that it is an anime made purely for having half naked women run around and taking "fan service" to a whole new level. But that is not the case. At all.
Witchblade is for the pure of heart. For people that can relate to losing a loved one. Every adult I have ever shown this to cried on the first episode, if that tells you anything. And my friend's mom refuses to finish the last 2 episodes because she doesn't want to cry anymore...haha
Personally, I love animes that make me cry. If you are the same, definitely
...
watch Witchblade.
A mother struggling to be the best for her daughter. And a daughter trying to be the adult and take care of her own mother. And in the end, sacrifices will be made for the safety of another. A sacrificial lamb to be given to stop the cycle of pain and despair.
Story:
Beautiful and touching. Meaningful and amazing.
Art:
Wonderful art and character designs. Great costume designs even though they are rather erotic.
Sound:
FUNimation once again does an amazing dub. Each voice over suits their character.
Character:
Each character is greatly given their own personalities and quirks. There's a word to describe every character.
Enjoyment:
I will watch this series over and over again and continue recommending it. I absolutely loved it.
Overall:
10/10! Watch it for a great and touching story that includes the action and violence we all love and need~;)

Oh, Hell Girl...how I have re-watched you so many times...
First things first. Hell Girl is NOT a horror anime..so if you fear blood and gore, don't worry. Hell Girl features little to none of that. Just the occasionally skulls and blood splatters is all.
Secondly, I loved this anime so much. Its interesting and keeps your brain going. There's always a twist no one expected right around the corner. I have re-watched it about 4 times. Once I even watched it in reverse order....(don't ask....)
In the first 12 episodes or so nothing is really given except that Hell Link is a website of which
...
anyone can access at midnight to enter in the name of their abuser for Ai Enma (Hell Girl) to come in contact with the person and propose a contract. But undoubtedly, each episode which contains a new persons story is always entertaining and interesting. After you get past those beginning episodes, new characters appear that add on to the story that is figuring out who this "Hell Girl" really is. You then begin to learn the story of Ai and the others of whom help her with the Hell Link.
ALL IN ALL~
FUNimation did an excellent dubbing of it.
The Animation and art is beautiful.
The story line isn't plain or meaningless.
I recommend this to anyone who loves surprises and twists in an anime.
It is also for the more paranormal kind of people.
I highly recommend this to anyone who is okay with an anime not being happy go lucky moe kawaii desu ne.

Code Geass was my first anime that I ever committed myself to. Meaning I started watching this in 6th grade which is when my anime craze began. I absolutely love this anime and the entire story is just phenomenal. It is a serious anime, I'll give you that which makes it hard for many people to watch it if they aren't the type to actually work their brains while watching anime.
It's an amazing story of a certain country who's name has been changed to Britannia probably for political reasons who thinks they are the super god-like country of the world who can take over
...
everyone and everything with no equal matched opponents in existence. Don't underestimate the will of people because you are about to be proved wrong.
Amazing. Watch it. Especially if you are a Gudam fan or are just looking for some way to change the world.
