I am not a fan of watching anime movies. Even though I think that most of the movies I watched were great, they're still too long for me. Mostly I end up continuously checking the time to see how much of the movie is left so I can move on, which I don't do when I'm watching 25-minute anime episodes since they're not that long and don't make me tired if I watch for too long. But to my surprise, this movie 'Sword of the Stranger' was totally different. From beginning to end, I absolutely loved this movie. There wasn't a single moment that felt ... boring or where it felt like it was dragging on. I can confidently say that this is my favorite anime movie that I have watched yet.

Story (8): The story was quite intriguing. I really liked the concept of some emperor sending men after this kid in hope to find immortality, and this kid finding a companion to help protect him and his dog. It's not the best and most unique story out there, but the way it's executed makes it really great and interesting.

Art (9): Right off the bat, I want to say that the action sequences were outstanding. The way these fights were drawn was just absolutely beautiful. The character designs for the villains were really cool, making me hyped for when I finally get to see them battle. And the final fight between Nanashi and Luo Lang will be forever stuck in my head, since that definitely was one of the most beautiful battles I have ever seen.

Sound (10): Beautiful. Just beautiful. I have nothing more to say.

Character (9): The characters were all unique and had very interesting personalities. Especially Nanashi, who was introduced as this very 'mysterious' guy. Although I wish they'd flesh out his past a bit more, since that seemed really interesting.

Enjoyment (10): I didn't feel bored a single moment watching this movie. I had it in my list for so long, since I heard it was a very good movie, but I never ended up watching it since movies don't usually get my attention. But that was a big mistake since this movie ended up as one of my favorite anime to date. I will definitely rewatch this when I have the time.

Overall (9): If you were wondering if you should watch this movie or not; you should definitely watch it. Don't be an idiot like me and postpone such a good movie for months until you have absolutely nothing else to do. Everything about this movie was great, and nothing less.

As of the writing of this review, only the Uprising Arc has been shown. I have read the manga, and to be honest this arc was my least favorite, since it was very stretched out and kinda boring. But to my surprise, the anime is the exact opposite! WIT Studio has done an incredible job at translating this slow-paced arc into an amazing, interesting and incredible anime.

Story (8): Even though they sped up this arc, the beginning was still a bit slow. But many great anime suffer from the same problem, so you should never judge an entire anime just on the first few episodes. ... The quality of the story became better and better after each episode, and it probably won't stop going into the next arc this season.

Art (8): Beautiful art, just as in the previous seasons. The CGI used in this season is actually a lot better than in the previous one (that colossal problem was horrible). But in this season it's quite alright.

Sound (9): Man, it has been said a lot, but Hiroyuki Sawano is like the Hans Zimmer of anime. Every single anime he worked on has a soundtrack beyond amazing.
Although most people don't like the opening and say 'the ending and opening should be switched', I actually really like the opening. But yes, the ending is way better, but the opening is great too, don't be so butthurt.

Character (9): Levi and Mikasa are just as bad-ass as ever and still remain to be my favorite characters. Although now, we're introduced to Kenny the Ripper, someone who can compete with them on my favorite character list. I don't know why, but I'm just a sucker for bad-ass killing machines.
And I guess Eren and the rest are there too...

Enjoyment (10): Even though the beginning was a bit slow, this arc is definetaly one of my favorties. From such a slow and boring manga arc to this incredible anime arc. Just goes to show how well WIT Studio is handling this series.

Overall (10): There is not much to complain about this season. I enjoyed it all the way up until now and I will continue to enjoy it for the remaining episodes. I honestly can't wait to see the next arc animated!!
