God it is a harem anime! I just can't stand these kinds of anime. Like literally almost every female character falls for this broody narcissistic insufferable MC and he's no longer remaining faithful to his loli-vampire girl. I groaned so much when even the side character from his class falls for him. Like, just let there be one main female character that doesn't fawn over the MC. It is so annoying. And the MC is becoming insufferable. He is juxtaposed to two of his male classmates in this season, a warrior/berserker type guy and the "hero" type. The show basically emasculates these two to show ... how "awesome" the MC is. At this point this anime is a Mary sue type insert fantasy. The loner kid becomes all powerful and gets all the girls while the popular guys are emasculated, weak, and whiny. It is just insufferable. And the issues that were developing in the previous season persist with everything being too easy making the story just bland and tiresome. I lost all hope of it improving when they started fighting mirror images of themselves and the MC easily beats it by "getting stronger" which was "impossible" God he is annoying and then he goes and saves basically the only other girl in the party that hasn't fallen for him who in her fight realized she "loved" him too. Just stop. It's embarrassing.

God is this a harem anime? I don't mind when their are love rivalries but there are two things that ruin an anime for me, if every single character falls in love with the MC like they are some type of god among men/women and if the MC ends up with multiple love interests. There are very few anime that have one of these two things that make it past my sniff test and none that have both of these things.

Moving past this concern cause as of this season it seems he is still holding to his loli-vampire girl over the others, this season was ... overall mediocre. The show never regained the same feel that the beginning had. Like why are the other labyrinths so easy!? The one that he got stuck in was a nightmare and the rest are a breeze. One was not even a labyrinth, the ancient magic was basically just handed to him. I liked the show because of the struggle. You can have an OP MC while still maintaining that level of struggle simply by making him OP in the overworld but struggling in the Labyrinths. It just never regained that same level of enjoyment.

I generally liked this season of the anime. I liked the premise and it was enjoyable watching him claw his way to OP rather than starting off OP like so many other isekai anime. I also enjoyed the introduction of guns into a fantasy. This isn't the first time but it is one of the few. The show really went down hill once he got out of the first labyrinth. The main character became way to OP that the rest of the show felt mediocre at best. It felt like they had a great idea to begin with but we're not sure what to do ... with it afterwards.

I tried. I really did. Usually I love these fluffy romance animes. This one though, is just awful. I don't know if it just struck a personal cord but I find myself sighing and rolling my eyes.

So first, the animation is rather lazy and the colors are too much leaving the anime feeling washed out.

Second, there just isn't any chemistry in this show. The main character is willfully dense. She likes this other guy but hangs out with four guys and considered them all friends. Talk about friend zoned. On top of that she just 'never realized' that they liked her. Either she is extremely ... naive or she is leading them all on. So the apparent main romance is with Kizuki. He takes the leap to try and escape the friend zone. Pushing her against a wall and forcibly kissing her is not the way to do that my guy. Yet the show makes this the impetus for her 'catching the feels.' Way to glorify casual sexual assault! There are romantic gestures and confessions and then there is this. Forcibly kissing someone who is obviously unaware and unwilling at the time is technically sexual assault and it bothered me. I tried getting past this but then one of the other guys almost takes advantage of her while she is sleeping due to getting sick. So not only is the main character rather unlikable as she seems to be leading four guys on but the guys are unlikeable as well. An alternate title of this show could be (depending on the ending) "How I got out of the friend zone by sexually assaulting my crush and thankfully she liked it rather than pressed charges"
