Wont say much, because I haven't finished it, but of all the scary/horror films I have watched, this is fallen into a unique category.
Before tonight, only twice had a movie/tv show given me nightmares after watching it (that I can remember). Tonight was the 3rd, thanks to Higurashi no Naku Koro ni.
So if you want a really scary story that may end up giving you nightmares, then watch this.

After watching Code Geass, everyone suggested watching this, so I gave it a go, and was overall disappointed. It was a good anime, but it didn't live up to the anticipation of it.
Story: 7
First story arc (before the events leading up to the introduction of near) was 9/10
It was good, thrilling, interesting and all round amazing. However lost points for how many Marry Sues were in the anime.
Second (after near was introduced) was 5/10
It was ok, but WAY to predictable and I didn't enjoy it for that reason. If you watch it you will know what I mean.
Balanced to 7/10
...
Art: 9
Great art, if you have read any of my other reviews you will know by now that I don't like going into detail. So when I say the art is relatively good or great, it is relatively good or great. I mainly rate art based on how good it is compared to other animes of its time. So in this case the art was good, but it was two recent to deserve 10/10
Sound: 6
Not that it mattered much in this kind of anime, but the soundtrack was only ok.
Characters: 3
WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY to many Marry Sues. The characters were either perfect in every way or imperfect in every way.
Enjoyment: 8
First arc 10/10
Second arc 6/10
Balanced to a 8/10
I think I went a little nice on Death Note here, but I give it points for presentation, as it didn't do much else write, but was presented perfectly.
Overall: 6
I'm a tough marker, so 6 still means worth watching, but not the best. If you don't want to waste your time, don't watch it. but honestly, if you enjoyed Code Geass, this is worth a watch.
And to those who haven't watched Code Geass, watch it, its a good anime, unlike this ok anime, and WAY WAY better.

After watching the first anime, I was excited for this one, and allthough it wasn't as good as I expected, it was still pretty good.
Story: 7
Didn't like how unrealistic the battles were, and how the tactics didn't make sense given the age of warfare. Didn't like a few other things, but it would be giving spoilers. Overall it was still good though, and a 7 isn't a bad mark.
Art: 10
Same as code geass. Flawless.
Sound: 8
Can't remember much about the sound track, but given that I gave the first won 10/10 I couldn't really deduct marks for this one simply because it wasn't
...
memorable.
Character: 8
Unlike the first anime, alot of the characters actions didn't make sense and were not justified no matter how many times the anime said they were.
Enjoyment: 9
I was able to watch it twice and enjoy it, so it must have been pretty good.
I just wrote a review on the original code geass, so I appologize if I didn't go into enough detail here, simply because it is kinda of slightly less good continuation of the first anime.

Second Review:
I'm not much of a writer, so I will make this quick and to the point.
Code Geass is the story of a prince who is rebelling against the British Empire (Holy Britannian Empire) in the colony in Japan. Its set in the near future, so therefore has Mechs (knightmare Frames), and some weird magic (geass)
I honestly didn't enjoy the first episode, but got hooked after watching the second and managed to finish it. It was/is a very popular anime so I guess I don't have to much to say that hasn't already been said.
Story: 9
Good story, I guess it lost a point for
...
the Geass power, as I would have rather seen the show without some weird super powers.
Art: 10
Amazing, well funded, awesome fight scenes. I am rather picky when it comes to art, but this had every detail down perfectly. For example, in one episode early on, Susaku is studying for History, I thought it was cool how I could push pause and read the book perfectly.
Sound: 10
One of the better sound tracks, I added some of the songs to my iPod, I like techno music alot, so the background music of anime fight scenes does occasionally get on there.
Character: 9
It lost a point because I am still pissed because my ex dumped me for Lelouch (kinda, after watching Code Geass she became one of those fan girls who absolutely adored him, but I think she dumped me for different reasons). On a more related note the characters were good, thats why it got a 9. Not really sure what to say here.
Enjoyment: 10
I was able to watch it (and its sequal) 3 times. I really repeat watch animes, but this was just enjoyable to do that.
Overall: 10
averaged out to 9.6 or round 10.
Well kinda, its the same thing as enjoyment, if its good enough to be virtually flawless after watching it 3 times, I think its good enough to get a 10/10.

This is my first review.
Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan was an interesting anime, to say the least. It had its good moments and bad moments. Overall I was able to finish it, but it took a lot longer then expected, and at times it was crap.
"Kick logic out and make the impossible possible"
That is the motto for team Gurren, and is certainly an understatement given what they end up doing.
I have to say, for those like me, who focus more on story and character development, it was rather satisfying in those areas, however I disliked the unrealistic components and lack of logic
...
behind almost every decision/out come in every battle.
Story: 5
It had ups and downs, some absolutely brilliantly written and thought out episodes, and then some crappy doesn't make any sense episodes. I prefer animes where logic actually matters and what happens sorta makes sense, rather then beyond beyond the impossible.
In fact: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BeyondTheImpossible
gives reference to it as the only anime to go beyond beyond the impossible.
Art: 2
Last time I checked, this was aired in 2007, not 1992. If I am wrong and it was made in 1992, notify me so I can raise this to a 4, for being on par with its time. Given that his anime has nothing but cheesy battle scenes, art is rather needed.
Sound: 6
fairly good sound track.
Characters:
Kamina for his actions in the first 7 episodes and Rossiu for his actions in episode 19 and 20, put them on the list of greatest characters of all time.
Enjoyment: 3
3 times while watching it, I put it down for a week, and if it wasn't for my friend pushing me to finish it, I doubt I would have. I like animes that don't have to many unrealistic events, and when unrealistic events come up, characters don't spout **** to explain how they are possible, when they clearly aren't. Its not entertaining to watch the same event happen over and over again, and I dropped Bleach for the same reason that I didn't like this anime.
Overall: 5
It was a mediocre anime and I don't understand why its so popular and highly ranked.
