Epic Fights, Justice, and Boobs... I mean Blood! Akame ga Kill! and Taboo Tattoo are more or less set in an alternative world, whilst AgK! acts in a fantasy world with a corrupt empire, Taboo Tattoo is more similar to our world, but includes the fictive Serinistan Kingdom. Both series deal with main forces which fight against each other: In AgK! the army of the empire against the rebellion army. In TT the U.S.-Army against the forces of Serinistan. In Akame ga Kill! they have to kill the emperor, and in Taboo Tattoo they have to defeat princess Aryabata. Both Manga include special weapons from an ancient time, which are in Akame ga Kill! the Teigus and in Taboo Tattoo the Spell Crests. They both have a protagonist with big sense of justice, which are both more or less recruited by (the good) faction to fight with. The protagonists share a lot of character development as the story goes on. The Protagonists (Tatsumi in Akame ga Kill!; Seigi in Taboo Tattoo) have both a role model with which they train for a certain time. For Tatsumi it's Bulat; For Seigi it's B.B. Bulat and B.B. have in common, that they are both strong man, who fought for both sides and seem like they're unbeatable. The main opponent of both series is a woman (AgK! it's Esdeath; TT it's The female protagonists (Akame in AgK!; Izzy in TT) both fought once against the male protagonist before they started to fight together. The main opponent of both Manga is female (Esdeath in AgK!; Aryabata in TT) and both seem like their power knows no end. They are both more or less sadistic. They have both a lot of gore, while Akame ga Kill! seems a little bit more brutal than Taboo Tattoo. Both series are pretty serious, even if TT starts more Shounen-Ecchi-like, but both turn out to be more mature and deadly serious. In both Manga practically anyone can die!
