I found this show when I was looking for anime similar to Banana Fish and Tokyo Revengers, and while this anime does have some action, it is mostly just dialogue that makes it good. Personally, I had a hard time enjoying it at first because it seemed to be moving at a snail's pace. It starts out with like 5 individual stories belonging to different characters that don't connect in any way for a long time. When things do eventually come together to form the plot, the anime gets much better, but you have to wait like 12 episodes for that to happen. The anime ... is also really confusing at times. It jumps around from time to time, place to place, and it can be hard to keep track of everything. I'd say that anyone with a low attention span would not be able to enjoy it.

This anime is ok, but there are things that kind of ruined it for me.

For starters, the main characters are not likeable at all. The story follows these two teenage terrorists who lived in an orphanage where they were experimented on or some shit, and don't quote me on this but I think that they were saying that all the kids who were in the orphanage were gonna die really young, and only the two main characters and one of the antagonists were the survivors up until this point. Anyway, these teenagers are really scary, they threaten a girl who accidently witnesses them planting bombs ... in a building and force her to be an "accomplice". This wouldn't be a problem if the viewer actually had a reason to root for the teenagers, but we don't. The lore about the orphanage we only learn later in the show.

Another thing is the girl I mentioned, Lisa, who was forced to become an accomplice, is in a really tough spot when the show starts. She is bullied in school and has a single mother who is kind of out of her mind. She ends up running away from home and -this is what befuddles me- goes to stay with the terrorists. Like, wtf? Why would you trust these two when you know that they are criminals, you know that they have access to explosives and weapons, you know they could easily kill you. And what's more, she instantly starts touching shit in their apartment. She finds a desk with a bunch of phones and a box-shaped thing. It is very clearly a bomb, and yet she starts messing with the phones until they all start ringing, when one of the terrorists warns her that if it were set up properly, she would have set off the bomb.

What saved this show for me was really just two things. 1, the animations were really good. 2, the ending was really good I thought. I wouldn't recommend this show to most, but I know that there are lots of people who really like it. I can see the appeal, and I think it could have been really REALLY good, if they had only given us one, just one, reason to root for the terrorists in the beginning of the show.

While having an extremely weak plot, I would still say the show is really good. I get that there are tons of things that don't make sense, but that is pretty much expected from any show that involves time travel; there's no way you could explain every little detail. That being said, the show is still really exciting. If you liked Erased, Banana Fish, or even Cobra Kai (not an anime) than this is definitely the show for you. The whole time travel thing leaves tons of holes in the story and can get kind of annoying, but in my experience it is not exactly ... immersion breaking. Unless you are the type of person to be bothered by every nitty gritty detail in a show that doesn't make sense, than I would highly recommend this show.
