Air (Anime) add
AIR was the very first anime based off a visual novel I watched. It led me to watch more of these types of anime in hope that I would find anything more like this.

But this anime is indeed one-of-a-kind.

Overview: Set in three arcs, this anime focuses on Yukito Kunisaki and Mizusu Tohno, an unlikely pair with a relationship that goes back one thousand summers.
Yukito is a traveller looking for a certain "girl in the sky" he was told about by his desceased mother. He finds himself befriending the clumsy Misuzu along with encountering two other interesting female characters. As the mysterious legend about ...

Cardcaptor Sakura, Clover, Chobits, RG Veda, and all the works of CLAMP put into one epic, emotional series? Count me in!

Whether you've read all of CLAMP's work, some of them, or none at all, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles ("Tsubasa" for short) is a stunning beautiful manga with something for everyone to love.

Overview: Two childhood friends (Syaoran and Sakura) find themselves in a twisted plot when Princess Sakura's memories are scattered throughout universes in the form of feathers. Both of their lives will never be the same again. Now, along with a fleeing, happy-go-lucky magician (Fai) with dark secrets, and a belligerent ninja (Kurogane) with a dark ...

"Time waits for no one"

This is essentially the theme of this movie as our heroine, Makoto Konno, gains the ability to "time leap".

What would you do if you were given the ability to turn back time? You'd probably redo a few embarrasing moments here or there, or try to avoid future events entirely. This is exactly what Makoto does as she goes through the trials of a highschool teenager. Pretty soon, she finds herself suffering the consequences of altering the past...

Based on a hit-Japanese novel, The Girl who Leapt Through Time is a great story about the struggles every highschool student must soon or ...

Hikaru no Go (Anime) add
Do not let the title intimidate you: this anime is much more than a story about board games. In fact, I started this anime with absolutely zero knowledge about Go (and ended with barely any knowledge as well) but thouroughly enjoyed it.

Shounen fans will enjoy this manga for the Naruto-ish underdog theme and its comical moments in each episode. Those who enjoy a bit of angst and profoundness will find themselves immersed in the relatable and emotional trials the main character, Hikaru, goes through in order to achieve his goals.

You like all the action components of an anime, but you hate how predictabe everything is. Code Geass breaks through these pitfalls of most action anime:

1.) The story is thrilling and contains twists and turns that will constantly surprise you. The characters are each perfectly flawed such that they are relatable.

2.) The artwork, although very bishounen-esque, is unique. And avid fans of CLAMP will be pleased at the character art.

3.) It contains a bit of every genre: Mecha, action, drama, bi-shounen... You name it.

All and all, Code Geass is perfect for any fan looking for something highly emotional and brilliantly fast paced.
